I know I have nothing to be ashamed about, I know I'm proud of being bisexual. But why do people make me feel so bad about it, even if not on purpose? Example: My mom keeps implying it to people saying things like ''VAnessa, don't you agree that if you were bi, you would have a widder choice for a partner?'' I know it seems like nothing at all to you, but to me, who has recently understood my sexuality, it's painful to hear such things, coming from your mom. Plus, Why does my mom ignore me now? Since she learned I was Bisexual, she won't talk to me, or only a bit. It makes me feel rejected. Has this hapenned to you?

Sometimes people have a way of taking jokes a little too far. If your mom's reaction to your bisexuality is upsetting you, why don't you confront her about it? I'm sure she's just trying to get used to the idea and everything. Talking about it with her, although extremely awkward, would probably help a lot.

I don't like my mother's double standards. She says she's okay with me being gay (I already have a gay cousin), but really she's only okay if she doesn't see anything relating to it.
A few examples.
Mom and I can be out shopping. It's okay for her to point out a hot guy, but if I go to point out a cute girl, she doesn't answer and ignores my statement completely.
Or.
She'll start discussing her romance novels with me and tell me what happens and such. But if I even start to bring up what happens in my romance novels she pretends she doesn't hear me, or just goes "Mhm that's nice."
She's only okay if she doesn't see it.
