stressed domokun crying [WARNING: Nerd moment!]
No, it's not the series finale.
xd In the UK, they call seasons 'series', so if you've seen it referred as that, that's all it is.
wink Technically, though, the show ran from '63 to about '86 where it was axed, and THEN was revived again in '05 with doctor #9. It's the season finale coming up (and yeah, I'm ahead by a month because I kept up with the original UK airings, haha), but the finale is important because the guy who's been the key to the show's revival and head writer since it came back, Russel T. Davies, is leaving Doctor Who. This ending 2-3 parter is his big grand finale, although I just read today that he's writing the specials for next year ('09 isn't going to be a full season, just 4 specials, because #10 is playing hamlet with the royal shakespeare company.). But after that, Steven Moffat is the man on top for season five in 2010. He's the guy who wrote the Empty Child/Doctor Dances, Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, Silence in the library/forest of the dead episodes, so we'll be in good hands.

And sorry about your boyfriend- I know how that is. I had a situation kinda similar to that a couple years ago and eventually just got fed up- it wasn't worth the loss of sanity and frustration that it cost me. :/ Glad you had a good time overall, though!
biggrin That's what counts.
