Yes, totally agree. I have no doubt that Kurogane loves Tomoyo and she to him, but there not in love. It's completely platonic between them; Kurogane is very protective of her because she saved him when he was went mad with grief after the death of his parents. I just can't see them as a pairing; it's far too sibling like between them. And besides, the only person Tomoyo can ever love is Sakura, and it's obvious Kurogane loves Fay =D

Kurogane loves Tomoyo because she saved him. He is indebted to her and that's why he protects her--it isn't because he cares about her in the same way he cares about Fay.
Besides, Eeyores-Sunny-Place is right; CLAMP would never make Tomoyo love anyone but Sakura. Just what kind of world would we live in if Yukito didn't love Touya, Syaoran didn't love Sakura, and Chii didn't love Hideki? CLAMP's characters never fall in love with anyone besides their original lovers. X3 So, even if Kurogane does love Tomoyo "like that," it wouldn't be requited, anyway.

i think kuro considers tomoyo a sort of adopted sister. she seems more like the sister-type anyway. besides, the age difference is a little 'out there'

another way to think about them is that tomoyo is like the boss of a company (like piffle world!), and kurogane is one of the people who works as a sort of secretary for her (a ninja secretary that kills stuff lol) (and souma is vice president of the company)

I don't think Kurogane sees Tomoyo as a lover, and I have a few reasons why. First of all, Kurogane doesn't seem the type to willingly engage in a romantic relationship, which, if you will allow me to digress a bit, supports the whole KuroFay thing: Kurogane has known and been around Tomoyo since he was in his early to mid-teens with no chemistry to speak of between them (though he does show a fierce loyalty to the princess; however, this is more likely to be the result of Tomoyo taking Kurogane in when he had lost everything). In contrast, Kurogane has known and been around Fay for a comparitively short amount of time, however between them has grown a connection that goes deeper than mere loyalty. And now, I'll go back to the main issue discussed here.
Secondly, Tomoyo can't be more than fifteen or sixteen, while Kurogane at least somewhere in his late twenties. Kurogane is a bit too...well, "Kurogane-ish" to engage in *****, and to do so would break with Kurogane's character. sweatdrop
Thirdly, remember the whole "same-soul-different-person" thing? In CardCaptor Sakura, Tomoyo is a lesbian. Would it not follow that she would be the same way in Tsubasa-verse?
Finally, this is a CLAMP manga we're talking about. Am I correct in saying that there is least one homosexual pairing (often within the circle of main characters) in each of CLAMP's works? If not KuroFay, then what else? MokonaMokona? xd
Personally, I believe that Kurogane thinks of Tomoyo more as a sister than anything else. He's like a knight protecting the lady of the castle, rather than the lady's lord. 3nodding

I disagree with the whole age issue. I don't think that, just as gender, age plays a role in love with CLAMP. Maybe it's just me, since age has never been a problem for me in regards with relationships, but I don't think age is as big a deal to CLAMP either.

Yeah, I thought about the age thing, too, but remember Rika and Terada-sensei from CardCaptor Sakura? They are a canon couple even though Rika is in fourth grade and Terada is her teacher. >_>; CLAMP doesn't take gender or age into account when it comes to true love, because CLAMP understands that the real world doesn't, either. 3nodding

Yeaaahhh ... as long as the adult in the relationship isn't a total *****, then I see no harm. =D In CCS, the teacher very muchly loved Rika; going even so far as to propose to her. He loved her, and she loved him. In real life, something like that would be much more of a ... problem to handle though sweatdrop
