WORLD OF HEROES
The year is 2077. Forty years ago, people believed that the super heroes seen in comic books could never exist. Although some of the ways said heroes acquired their powers sometimes sounded possible, none were ever tried and no one was ever experimented on for fear of lawsuit.
That has changed.
A meteorite has recently crash landed in the cold, icy desert that is Antarctica. No one has dared to go as far into this country to find where the meteorite landed. It was a mistake. The meteorite contained a deadly gaseous chemical that could kill upon even touching a person. But that was back where it came from. The gas spread quickly around the world and was never even noticed. The gas did not kill humans, or even the animals that live on the planet, nobody was hurt.
It was the exact opposite. Literally .001 percent of humans on earth have the genesis gene within their bodies, a gene that has been around since the time of the cave men. Most of the gene has died out, and most of what is left is either dead, or completely inactive. But .001 percent of it is active and waiting, waiting for something to give it roots. That's what the gas, the "Exodus" gas is capable of doing. Even with the Exodus gas however, the gene can still lay dormant for a time, or it can bloom without hesitation.
The first example of this was when a man named John H. Trusty, a brilliant MIT graduate who was working in a dead end job, was one day seen soaring out of a bank, a trail of electricity left in his wake. He has named himself "Electris" and wreaks havok in the world, demanding that the UN gives into his demand of control of the world.
The world waits for someone to stop him.
