I know this is a repeat, but bear with me. I love this show. You know why?
#1 It's animated so there aren't any cheap special effects.
#2 It's EPIC.
It may be a "chosen one to save the world" story, but it's done in an amazing way that cuts any thought of cheesiness from the mind. In fact, I only just now realized it was a chosen one story. That's how amazing it is.
The characters aren't one-sided and you can empathize with their pain and joy. There's enough humor in it that you don't get weighed down with it taking itself too seriously. And the world is developed and has a history. You, like, NEVER see that with cartoons! At least, I never see it.
Anyway, this is a series I highly recommend if you can deal with a detailed story that's animated. I know some people can't take that. Also, a live-action movie is being made for it by M. Night Shyamalan, set to be released on July 2, 2010.
