The saddest piece I've done so far is the Spirit Dance by Gluck. Haven't been taking lessons for too long, only since November of last year, so my repetoire is rather limited.

The saddest piece I've ever played I think would be Trail of Tears by James Barnes (I think...) It's not a difficult piece, only grade 3. The flute part was mostly low and designed to have lots of vibrato. Honestly, even the oboe part was pretty. We never performed it: my band is very immature...but I still think its one of my favorite songs.
