As the title says, what is riding to you?
If you've seen my profile you should know my view.
The fundamental idea is a man who goes fast, and who nothing stops. Unlike a runner or a traceur, when man delegates the faculty of speed to a machine from then on, his own body is outside the process, and he gives over to a speed that is noncorporeal, nonmaterial, pure speed, speed itself, ecstasy speed. Speed is the form of ecstasy the technical revolution has bestowed on man. To travel anywhere on roads and tracks using the maximum capabilities of the bike, to reach perfection in movement and in speed and to be a master of your motorcycle, both physically and mentally. Although this perfection is impossible to attain, there is a group of people who train constantly in attempt to reach this level. They are racers. They do this not strictly for personal gain or fame. But to meet others and achieve inner peace and most importantly because of their universal love of speed and beauty.
This is the reason I ride.

~SxE Rot Is~~i do it cause there is NOTHING i`ve done that comes close to being as fun as doing 50MPH on a dirt trail, nearly hitting a tree.
Hitting the powerband on a 2-stroke, there is no other feeling like it!
Its so much fun for me i could ride for 24+Hours!!!~ ~Your Worst nightmare! SxE~

For me riding a motorcycle is the best way to get around. When things in my life seem like they're bringing me down, or if I'm really pissed off, there's only one thing thats been able to focus my mind, and brings be back down to earth and makes me happy to be alive. And thats a good motorcycle ride. I just like the feeling of being one with a machine, having to concentrate to the fullest to make it around a corner. I'm probably the most playfull when my face is hidden by a helmet and I'm sitting on a motorcycle, and I love that a bike can bring that out in me.
There's only one car that I've driven that comes close to the feeling, feedback and joy of the journey, and thats my 1966 Alfa Romeo GT Junior. Right now I'm stuck as my both my bike, my fathers Vespa and my Alfa are all not running.
I long for the day when I can use all three again.

why? For the same reason a lot of people in my native land do.
Here in the US, were all about freedom, and there is no greater way to enjoy that freedom then on a bike, its something I can do with most of my friends, and when you through on the gas it all just makes soo much sense. Its also something none of my friends at my age have and thus its a small bragging rite. Also its great fun.
Thats why

Being a girl riding for me is being unique. Most girls on big, loud, sweet-looking ride are being arm candy. I'll never be arm candy, and I ride to show that.

I ride cause I choose to. I love the solitary of the one up ride. Then look in the mirror and see the four other riders around you and I regain the group feel and Do what I feel is the biker way. Miles and dirt. My bikes have both on them.
