Well, first of all...I prefer the original version, not the edited and masacred version that they're playing on Cartoon Network...I mean come on! What's with them editing out the blood from when Iruka gets a nosebleed?! It's a show about ninjas, there pretty much needsto be blood! ....Okay, rant temporarily over.
As far as characters go, Kakashi is probably my favorite because, well...he's Kakashi. xd

ive only seen the cartoonetwork version...i didnt see anything wrong with it. *besides naruto's voice... stare * but i guess i wouldnt know what im missin' now would i?

I would have prefered it to be aired on Adult Swim so that they could have kept some of the voilence and such, but other than that it's fine with me. I suppose there have been other shows ruined far worse...but for them to take a shonen anime whose audience they know is going to be primarily teenagers, and then take all of the blood out (and maybe some of the perverted comments from Kakashi/Jiraiya...) it just reminds me of when they showed Gundma Wing, and like Heero got shot or something and his hand was originally covered in blood but they just showed him staring at his empty hand...which was totally lame. stare I mean, what are they gonna do when it gets to "Family Flashback Time" for Sasuke? Just have a black screen?
Not to mention that I can never forgive them if the rumors are true and they made Haku into a girl. gonk

okay..here's the deal..americans think they buy the original version from japan but they don't no they have been tweaked also becasue they were in the america shipping line..so basically..the cartoon network..the american naruto dvds..the import naruto dvds...and the original naruto dvds from japan are all tweaked...but even if u try to order it form japan..they tweak it without u knowing..how do i no? unles lives in japan and he told me so he works for some shipping thing for anime dvds of Geneon

Favorite character? Nara Shikamaru, if only he weren?t lazy? OMFG, I hate people who say "Oh the voices are not the same", no duh, Japanese is not the same as English...... And they dont have blood in the U.S. because we have laws, Japan has less rough laws.....Im not saying any of you are one of the people but I hate people like that.

It's just started playing on YTV and I couldn't stand to watch it, I didn't like the voices or how things were cut... I wont watch it though, I can't bare to. I like the japanese version much better... and I can't believe YTV is only now playing Naruto.. it's just like InuYasha >.< we get things so late here in Canada. crying
