Well, it seems that starting a new RP is what everyone wants to do, so now we need to choose a new setting, if any, for the new RP. Here are the various settings I can come up with, if you have another idea, feel free to share it, these are just the settings we can come up with that we would be able to run, along with any story ideas I have for each setting.

Setting # 1: Seattle, WA, USA

This is where we live, so it would be very easy for us to run an RP set here. We would be able to insert more detail then in almost any other chronicle, and it would without a doubt be the most accurate. However, I don't know how interesting Seattle would be as a WTA setting.

Likely sept types: Most likely a Children Of Gaia or Uktena run sept, but all tribes could be easily represented in some way or another. Possibilities exist for both urban and wild caerns.

Setting # 2: Russia

This is the only setting where I have an idea for an entire chronicle, one focusing on the war with Baba Yaga in the 90's, but an RP set in Russia doesn't have to focus on Baba Yaga, Russia is a big and interesting place, and has plenty of possibility.

Setting # 3 - 7: All the various WoD city books I have:

I have a significant number of WoD city books, and we could run a chronicle in any of them fairly well, as they all come with maps and such. The main downside is that they are all for Vampire, so it would take a bit of work coming up with how the Garou would fit into all that. These are the books I have:
Montreal
New Orleans
New York
Berlin
London (This one is actually for the victorian age vampire suppliment, so if we ran a chronicle in London it would most likely have to be in that time period.)

Setting # 8: The same place

Hey, who says we have to change setting at all? If you want, we can keep the RP in the same place. Of course, I would want to improve some aspects of the setting, but this is (in theroy) the most time-efficient choice.

Setting # 9: The Umbra

This would be set almost entirely in the Umbra. It would be a very difficult, but potentially very interesting, setting. I have no ideas at the moment on how to create an umbra-locked story, but that's okay.

Setting # 10: Other time period

If you want, there are a number of different time periods we can run a chronicle. This would change a lot of things, but it could be fun. Here are the various time periods I can think of:
Dark Ages - This one would be easy, as I already own the WTA Dark Ages core book.
Victorian Age (turn of the century) - I have a core book for this era too, however, it is only for Vampire, so this would require a bit of adaption.
The Future - This would be a very sad setting for the Garou, as their wolf kin are, for all intents and purposes, long gone, and the Weavers web consumes all of Gaia. This has some synergy with the Umbra-locked chronicle mentioned above, as it is very likely that entering or leaving the Umbra is near impossible with the increase in the Weavers strength.
Pre-history/Early Human History: This would explore the inpregnum most likely. Could be interseting.

Setting # 11: The Apocalypse

While most likely we would end an RP with the apocalypse, we could just skip right to it and go wild. This would be a very short, but exciting, RP.

Well, those are all the ideas I can come up with. Please, post saying which ones you like, so we can come to a descision. Voting is just that simple, you list all the ones you like, and whichever one is liked the most, wins. ((This is supposed to be the fairest method of voting, I'm learning about it in math right now.))

Oooo...so many choices.

Out of the ones available, I like the sound of either a Dark Ages or, as a secondary choice, the Pre-History setting. The main advantage to the Dark Ages over Pre-History, in my mind, would be that most of the recognizable enemies would be in place, if not as pervasive as they would be in a modern setting.

Out of curiosity and meaning no disrespect, would a New Orleans game be set after the recent floods? It seems to me like that would be a place ripe for a Wyrmish toehold, given the misery and suffering.

Also, you mentioned the Apocalypse. There are also some post-Apocalyptic scenerioes mentioned toward the end of that book. I wondered if you'd considered any of those? Not trying to make things more difficult, I just love smacking about post-end-of-the-world possibilities. xd

I was thinking of a pre-hurricane New Oreleans game, but you do bring up a good idea for setting it post-hurricane. That would definitly be possible.

As for post-apocalypse, that is also something we can do. I actually like that idea a lot. Thanks for bringing that up, both of those are great ideas.

I like the following: russia, dark ages, the future, during (or, like JP said, after) the apocalypse, new orleans, the umbra, and berlin (or some other european city).

Hmmmmm. I would have to cast my vote for Seattle. Present or future is fine with me. A NY setting could work as well (a NY caren is in the back of the WTA book.). New Orleans pre or post sounds interesting as well. I wouldn't mind an Apocalypse setting either, but would we start normally or would we have advanced characters?

Seattle is cool with me, but if there's a different time period or whatnot, I'll need a few days to pick up the corresponding book (if there is one) so I have a better idea of what I'm doing.

If we are running an RP in the middle of the apocalypse, I would like to start everyone off a bit more powerful, so yes, we would be starting off with advanced characters.

I guess that would be another advantage to post-Apocalypse -- we'd be more of less off of the map so far as dealing with WoD metaplot is concerned. No worrying about the source-books.

Naakkyuu, is it OK if I PM some setting ideas to you and BFU?

Yes, that is fine.

OK. I just got some really bad news so those and the Merits and Flaws may not be ready until this weekend. Apologies.

No problem at all. We don't even know where we are setting the rp yet so don't worry if it takes longer than expected.

Well, this seems to be everyone who is going to vote, I am going to assume that any active members who didn't vote simply don't care where we set this and would be happy anywhere. If I am wrong, let me know, post, send me a PM, something.

So, right now it seems like an apocalypse setting has the most interest, but Seattle, the future, the dark ages, and New Orleans all have a similar amount of interest. With the method I am using, there should be a fairly clear winner, but I think that because only 4 people voted, there isn't really a possibility of that happening. So, I want to have another vote, between all the possibilities I listed above. This time, please list them in the order that you prefer.

Please note that both during and after the apocalypse count as the same thing, if that ends up being the winner we'll decide if we want to do this during or after, or both. We'll also decide on apocalypse scenarios at that time.

Well, any setting is good for me other than the Future one. From what I've read about Werewolf: The Forsaken it seems to be rather boring compared to WTA.

No no no, the future setting is not a game of Werewolf: The Foresaken. It is a futuristic setting based off a book (I think it was actually a magazine article or something) I found on the internet called World Of Future Darkness, and it has details on how to run a game set in a futuristic WoD setting, with nano-technology and bio-technology and all that futuristic jazz. This guild is, and will always be, for WTA, not WTF.
