A black figure moving quickly through the air heads towards the castle, as it gets closer it becomes clear that it's a gargoyle carrying a small humanoid figure. The winged aberation went screaming overhead of the soldiers heading straight for the towers within the city.
Soldiers hollered orders and arrows were let loose from taught bowstrings, sending hungry arrowheads into the air reaching for blood. The gargoyle moved too fast for the arrows to find flesh of either it or it's cargo. When it got close to the castle it flung the small geist towards a tower which it grabbed onto and deftly begain climbing towards the nearest window, the window that Xi just happened to be passing at that very moment.
The gargoyle went flew back out over the wall it came from, even faster now not carrying it's previous load. As war-trained eyes followed the beast out of the city their gaze lay upon something truely frightening in the light of the setting sun. A shambling horde of undead marched towards the castle.
Meanwhile the giest simply held in an outstretched hand an envelope with a note in it that read:
Quote:
Xi, it has been some time since our last meeting. If you wish for this kingdom to be spared from the scourge you'll come out quietly before the fireworks begin. We will take any means necissary to take you with us so it is advised you take this as your one and only warning. By the time you read this our forces will be on your door step, so do make haste.
