It is not a manga, it is a real book and it is about one of L's most famous cases and is narrated by Near. It is Fantastic. Anyone else read it?

I've read that one. It was quite good. I haven't actually read the DeathNote manga, only seen some of the anime. My friend originally lent me the Another Note book to introduce me to the series. It stands on its own very well though.
It wasn't exactly a challenging read, but the premise was nicely thought out and well developped.

I bought it but I still need to finish it. I heard it got nothing but good reviews, even though it is technically a fan novel (this guy also wrote a xxxHolic novel).
I will finish it if only to get more L in my diet.
