Callia pushed the door open, finding it unlocked. She was immediately impressed; though the room was somewhat plain at the moment, it was fairly spacious and seemed to have a nice little kitchen area. She weaved her way through and into the bedroom, where she found two twin beds. She noticed some luggage on the floor, and sighed. "Looks like roomie hasn't picked a bed yet." Making up her mind, she threw her duffle bag onto the bed to the right. There were windows by each bed, so she didn't feel she was hogging the view. She usually did whatever she wanted, but she wasn't always inconsiderate.

Walking back into the lounge room, she noticed a key and a piece of paper on a table by the door. Cali picked up the key, noting that her name was written on it, and stuffed it in her pocket. Looking back at the piece of paper, she recalled what she had been told about it. Curiously, she picked up the pen. Peeking around the corner, she looked into the bedroom, noting that both beds were decorated with plain white bedsheets. She went back to the paper and cautiously wrote 'soft, black bedsheets on the bed to the right' in a slightly messy and somewhat curly print. Placing the pen back on the table, she poked her head around the corner.

To her surprise, the bed she had chosen was, indeed, now fitted with black bedsheets. She walked to the edge of the bed and felt of the sheets, grinning happily. "Well, holy crap. The paper does work!"

Cali went back to the paper, and ran her tongue over one of her fangs thoughtfully. "Hmm...what else do I want..." She jotted down a short list. "A freezer full of fresh fish...plenty of milk...ah, let's do some black curtains on my window." She continued on, writing down things like strawberry shampoo, a catnip plant and a few video games. She didn't want to go too overboard, though; her roommate might want some stuff, too. She placed the pen back on the table by the paper, and sat down on a couch in the lounge room. Lightning flashed brightly outside, and her eyes flew to the window. "Bleh...thunderstorms." She shook her head. "Figures I can't go outside. Hmm...what to do..."

Roka walked into the room after seeing another name on the name plate. He looked around for a moment noticing that his roommate had started decorating the place. He picked up his things on the other bed. He didn't say anything at the moment he at least had to put down what kind of bedsheets he wanted. He walked over to the table and wrote down black and red bedsheets on left bed. He as well would probably need black curtains or need them. He wrote that down. He then wrote down for a dresser to put his clothes and things in. He walked over to his bed and started unpacking. He would write down whatever else he wanted later. Right now he was going to try and talk to his roommate. He sat down on the couch and looked at her. "Hi." was all he said for the moment. He then looked around the room for a moment before looking at her. He was thinking of what he could have to drink that at least resembled blood until he really needed it. He didn't know how she would feel seeing blood all the time.

Callia looked up when she heard the door open. Turning, she saw a head full of red hair on what appeared to be a male body. 'Ah, roomie's a boy.' She grinned to herself, watching him walk around. He finally sat down after a few minutes and greeted her.

"Hey. Name's Callia." She smiled a little, trying to be pleasant. After all, this was the person she would have to room with the whole time she attended this school, if she wasn't mistaken. She sniffed, trying to be just a little subtle about it, and grinned. "Hmm...interesting. You don't smell human."

"Mine's Roka." he said. "Nice to meet you Callia." he said with a smile showing his fangs a little. He thought he heard her sniff, was she taking in his scent? He then shook his head. "Because I'm not. I'm a vampire, but don't worry I won't bite you. I don't like doing that." He felt he should just go ahead and tell her since she would find out sooner or later. He looked at her for a few minutes before looking around the room once more. "So want to change the walls or something like that?" He thought that they could agree on the colors so he decided to ask.

"Heh. That's cool." Callia leaned back into the couch, putting her hands behind her head. "Just for future reference, I don't care what ya do, so long as 's none of my business." She turned and smiled at him, flashing a bit of her own fangs.

At his suggestion of changing the walls, her face broke into a grin. "Sure! I love using that thing, it's freakin' awesome." She sat forward again, propping her elbows on her knees and resting her chin in her hands. "So, what color did you have in mind? I personally like black, blue or dark red, but other colors are cool too."

"Alright." he said. "Yeah it is pretty cool." He laughed slightly. "I like black and most reds." He thought about how that could work. Just black or a red or a mix? It could be any three of those. Black could be best and then maybe red outline. "What about black with red outlining the area near the ceiling, floor, and, doors?" He thought it would look nice, but if it didn't they could change it. He looked at her awaiting her answer.

"Sounds good to me. Black with red outline, I mean." Cali stood up and stretched, closing her eyes and scrunching her nose. "Yanno, I bet red carpet would look pretty cool with that. Should write that down, too."

She looked around at the room they were currently in. The walls were bare. That would have to change. "Might wanna get some decorations for these walls, too...a bit bare if ya ask me." Cali walked over to the kitchenette, opening the fridge and looking around. "I don't really care what decorations we have, so you can go ahead 'n pick 'em." Disappointed with the meager selection of the fridge, she poked her head over the door. "Need to get some food and drinks, too. Don't think my 'freezer full of fish' note worked."

"Alright, sounds good." Roka said. He then got up and walked over to the table. He wrote that down, black walls outlined with red and red carpet. He had no idea what kind of decorations to put up. He had never really put anything on his walls at home. That could be done a little later when he thought of some or Callia did. "Well what kind of food and drinks do you want?" he asked then wrote down some tomato juice, it was for him something he liked to keep from wanting blood so much since it resembled it slightly. "If it didn't work maybe you should have wrote down 'a freezer' and then 'fish in freezer'. Want me to try that?" He then decided to go ahead and put down a second fridge with blood in it beside his bed just so he would have it.

Callia watched the walls as they faded from a dull, boring cream color to black with red borders. "Hmm, that may work. Yeah, give it a shot." She turned around and shut the fridge door, looking around the room and trying to think of more things to add or change. "Well, as far as food...I mean, besides the fish in the freezer...let's go with some strawberries, and maybe some vanilla ice cream? Oh, and drinks. I wrote down milk already, but...hmm, let's get some citrus soda."

Her stomach growled quietly, and she sighed, digging through the cabinets. "While you're at it, add on some chips, too. I like dill pickle potato chips, but pick out a couple more flavors for variety."

"Ok." Roka said. He then went to write down freezer and then fish in freezer. Then he went on to write strawberries and vanilla ice cream as well as citrus soda. If he thought of a soda he liked he would put that down later, he liked a lot so he couldn't decide on which one he wanted. He nodded and started writing down chips. Dill pickle potato chips, baroque potato chips, sour cream and onion potato chips. If any more was wanted he would put them down, that's all he could think of since he didn't eat many chips. He decided to put down more fruit, blueberries and oranges.

"Awesome." Cali watched the bags of chips materialize inside the empty cabinets, and pulled out the dill pickle chips. She closed the cabinet door, then walked to the fridge and opened it, pulling out a can of citrus soda. She then headed back towards the couch, popping the top on the can and taking a small swig. "So, what is there to do around here? I haven't had a chance to get out and explore campus yet." She set the can on a coaster on the coffee table before her, and pulled the bag of chips open, pulling one out and inspecting it carefully before popping it into her mouth.

Roka put the pen and paper down and sat down on the couch and sat down. "I don't know I've only been to the cafeteria so far. I haven't really explored yet either." He just hadn't felt like it because he had no idea where to start. "Well when you're done with your snack you want to explore with me?" he asked. He would like someone to explore with.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 6:53 pm

"That would be awesome." Callia grinned at Roka, rolling up the top of the bag of chips. She picked up her soda and took one last, long pull from it. She stood, walking into the kitchenette and putting the chips away, dropping her empty can into the garbage as she passed.

She looked down at her shirt, which currently had crumbs all over it. Sighing, she turned around halfway. "Hey, lemme change clothes real quick, OK? I've been wearing these clothes all morning." Nodding, she headed into the bedroom and sifted through the duffle bag on her bed. She briefly thought about putting everything up, but shook her head. 'I'll do it later.' She began pulling her shirt and pants off, not bothering to remove her various black rubber bracelets or her locket. She then pulled out a pair of long black pants with silver suspender straps hanging criss-crossed across the back, then slipped on a tight black shirt with a silver rose motif across her chest. She pulled her sneakers back on, which were thick-soled black shoes that added a good two inches to her height and had a single silver flame on either side. Exiting the bedroom, she flashed a toothy grin at Roka. "Whenever you're ready!"

Roka nodded. "Alright." he said. He then sat there waiting on her to get back. He thought about where they could go. It was raining outside so the courtyard wasn't a good idea. He had just been to the cafeteria so he didn't want to go back there, unless Callia wanted to get some other kind of food from there. So the student lounge or some place like that would be fine. When she returned he stood up. "Ok I'm ready now." he said with a smile. He walked over to the door and opened it waiting on her to go out first.
