What I'm experiencing is hard to explain. I can try.

My body- especially my head, and my surroundings all feel as though they've been inflated, and I keep thinking that it feels like putty or clay, somehow. My thoughts are derailing, as in I go from one topic to another in mid sentence, usually in my own mental dialogue. I don't think I could even actually attempt speech right now. If I tried to speak, who ever I'm speaking to would most likely be extremely confused. I'd give away my complete lack of sanity, as well. So I'm not talking. I can only write.

I keep thinking I should die, that I deserve to die, but its only half-hearted, really. I'm not depressed. At least not now.

I honestly have no idea what's going on. All of this has happened before. I just dont know what it is.

Help?

If you feel like you want to die, you really should let your doctor know.

Actually, derailment and disturbances in body perception are symptoms in and of themselves. What you described is different from the tactile hallucinations I feel, which are more like hallucinations of people grabbing me, pulling my hair, picking me up, water getting all over me, etc.

I feel that often as well. Sometimes I'll look at my hand and it'll feel three times as large, like it's inflated in some way. Sometimes I'll be laying on my bed and my body will feel like it's spinning, while my head is staying still. And then other times I'll be laying down and my body will feel like it's expanding....I don't know what it is either. But if you find out, tell me.

That EXACT same thing happens to me. I've had the spinning effect happen at work. I'll stand still, and the entire building will feel as thoguh its spinning or rotating, with me in it and everyone else in the building completely oblivious to it.

Okay, now that I know I'm not completely alone in this feeling, I'd like to know what it is.....how do you google something like that?

I have no idea how you'd google that specific symptom. Try Googling psychosis, and try to find the most complete list of symptoms that include the derailment and spinning, etc. Because I KNOW we can't be the only two people in the world that experience this. Try googling "Tactile Hallucinations"? If you find anything, would you post the link, or PM it? I'll search around too, and I'll let you know what I find, if anything.

You know what? I experienced the spinning before I ever experienced psychosis. I went to the doctor, and they found out that my inner-ear was broken! A semilunar valve had been punctured due to an infection that I didn't even know about. Now, I just have to eat less salt, and I don't get the spinning!

I still get tactile hallucinations, but like I said, they usually have to do with feeling like water or rain is falling or dripping on me, or like people are grabbing or pulling at me. Though I sometimes feel like I'm being picked up or hung by my feet.

I've had the hanging by your feet feeling, too, and the water, only I was feeling a steady drip of water on the side of my head, or my forehead that kept me from sleeping for awhile.

The most disturbing one I've had was the feeling that there was a noose around my neck that made me panic and I began to choke and cough, untill I realized I actually COULD breathe, then the noose became easier to ignore, but it was still there. Is this a tactile hallucination? I couldnt see it, but I could feel it.

That sounds more like stuff I've experienced. Though usually tactile hallucinations are in conjunction with visual and audio hallucinations for me, so there's less of a question about it!

I've experienced the spinning thing, myself, but only on pretty rare occasions. Usually it's associated (at least for me) with stress, lack of sleep, or not having eaten enough.

I'll second that. If I get up too fast or things like that, the room will spin. I'm thinking, and I've had some tactile hallucinations before. Not fun stuff, but I'd be interested to learn more. Please let me know what you find out.

(I had to look up the word tactile, and once I realized it meant touch...yeah)

I think I found something. Hope this helps.

Definition of Hallucination
Hallucination: A profound distortion in a person's perception of reality, typically accompanied by a powerful sense of reality. An hallucination may be a sensory experience in which a person can see, hear, smell, taste, or feel something that is not there. The types of hallucinations include:

An auditory hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of hearing. Called also paracusia and paracusis.
A gustatory hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of taste.
A hypnagogic hallucination is a vivid dreamlike hallucination at the onset of sleep.
Hypnopompic hallucination is a vivid dreamlike hallucination on awakening.
Kinesthetic hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of bodily movement.
Lilliputian hallucination is an hallucination in which things, people, or animals seem smaller than they would be in reality. (There should be one for when this is reversed!)
Olfactory hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of smell.
Somatic hallucination is an hallucination involving the perception of a physical experience occurring with the body.
Tactile hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of touch.
Visual hallucination is an hallucination involving the sense of sight.
