The king quietly walked around. As he moved, no sound was heard. His green eyes searched the area for anything or anyone. Not a sound was heard as he let his ears flick in whichever direction they pleased. His fur helped him stay blended in to the dry grass as well. So the only way someone would find him was by scent. There wasn't much to look at around this place. A sigh escaped the king as he sat down for a second. His home would have to be set up in a far more interesting spot. Though, first he needed loyal subjects.
So far no one was worthy enough to bow down to him. Though, all he had met were family members. Those that didn't think highly of him and only thought highly of themselves. "Pfft. They could never compare to the king." Karayan knew, well thought, he was better than everyone else. He was the king of the world after all.

 Alyssa padded through the tall dry grass, the weather was the pure opposite of what she was currently feeling. All that happy bright sunshine, birds chirping and yadda yadda yah, did nothing but perhaps make her even gloomier. So this was what life was like, wasn't it? Just plain boring walking around and around, doing nothing, and what other things that she could have in mind. As far as she was concerned, there seemed to be absolutely no point in life at all...so why was she still living? Perhaps death was the next great adventure? Of course she could possibly kill herself right this instant, but what was the use of that? She thought herself as worthless, and somewhat emo ulaya. She sighed and looked around for something to do.

A hint of red caught the male's eyes. His ears flicked forwards towards whatever it was as his head raised a little to catch it's scent. Another ulaya he guessed. He smirked slightly and began to trot over towards the other, his orange tail flicked slightly behind him as he went along. Usually he would let others come to him first, but he was bored so he walked towards the female.
About midpoint he stopped and decided to let her walk the rest of the way. If she truly wanted to talk to someone as great as himself, she'd need to come to him, not him go to her. His eyes shuffled down to the silver things around his paws and a low growl escaped him. One day he'd change the color, it'd be gold, not some ugly silver. A nice golden color to match his fur.
He watched the other for a moment, she seemed depressed and distant. A visit with the king would surely turn that around. His eyes squinted slightly at whatever it was that was sticking out from her waist. Karayan wasn't too sure, but would soon find out. Once she came a little closer.

Alyssa blinked, what was that striding towards her? She blinked again, apparently it was some gold colored ulaya, hardly discernable with the tall dry grass...and stopped? She raised her eyebrow in mild surprise, why was that ulaya stopping in the middle? Did he not wish to talk to her? She shrugged and started padding towards him, after all, what else was there to do? She hardly cared about the low growl as it escaped the stranger's lips, perhaps it was just the sight of the sword?

When he noticed the female coming his way, he watched closely. His eyes were glued to the thing around her waist. So far he hadn't met anyone outside of his family and none of them had something like that around their waists. Whatever it was, it looked interesting. He eyed the female. She was somewhat pretty, though, she needed more orange. His green eyes blinked and his head shook when he realized he was staring.
When she grew close enough, he stood and spoke. "Hault!" He said, watching the female closely. If she listened, good for her, if not he wouldn't be pleased at all. "Bow before your king." Karayan stated, watched the red and black female closely. His family never bowed, so he didn't expect this female to.

Alyssa looked rather mildly surprised, why was the ulaya before her talking to her like he was some king? And he was asking, no commandiing her to do what? Bow. Who in the world would tell her to bow? She wrinkled her nose, as far as she was concerned, the ulaya before her was nothing but a snobbish spoiled brat and all she had wanted to say was 'hey', but he was asking her to bow? No way! She finally asked, after all, life would probably just as depressing and gloomy if she find anything to do soon and perhaps annoying this ulaya would have its good points, "Why?"

He sighed slightly. This female would not be a loyal subject. Karayan lifted a brow at her question. "Why?" He asked back, his ears slowly pinning towards his head. Karayan's day was now ruined thanks to this female. "Because I am your king." Maybe he had been hit one too many time while he was younger, but Karayan truly believed he was the king of the world. "I'm the king of the world." He said with a blunt stare towards the female. Nope, he didn't like her one bit now. Karayan wanted to turn his nose up to this female, but kept his head parallel with the ground as he waited for her to most likely laugh at him or something.

Yes, most definitely a snobbish spoiled brat. She sighed, why did she always have such misfortune to meet ulayas like this? Ah well, might as well play along for she could sense that the ulaya was getting rather angry, and after all, she wasn't exactly in the fighting mood today. So thus, she replied, giving a slight curtesy,"Yes, of course your majesty." Alyssa paused and asked,"Oh yes, your majesty, may I please ask thy name?"

A brow lifted as he watched her curtsy. Was she making fun of him or something? "Don't you know that its rude to ask for other's names before giving your own?" He asked, looking towards the female with a royal smile crawling on his face. This was better, but Karayan had a feeling it would end soon. "The name is King Karayan." The male said, slightly surprised that the female didn't know him... though, it was the king's job to know everyone and he sadly only knew his family. "What is that on your waist?" He couldn't help but ask, a kit like curiosity showing in him now.

Alyssa blinked, yes most definitely a snobbish spoiled brat who thought himself as king. She sighed and replied, trying to be polite,"My name is Alyssa, your majesty." She paused, and answered his question,"This?" She pulled the weapon out of its sleath,"Is a sword."

His eyes watched the thing closely. It seemed like a huge claw, only not curled. He looked at his claw then the thing. The sword was far more shiny than his claws were. Karayan nodded his head in approval. This sword must be good for fighting... that means this female would be good for fighting as well. His brow lifted slightly. "A sword." The king asked another question. "Are you a warrior or something?" She would make a perfect guard or hunter.

Alyssa blinked, rather incredulous, who in their right minds would think that she was warrior? She almost laughed, but instead, she snorted and replied,"No, sorry to disappoint you, your majesty, but I am no warrior." She paused, and continued,"But I do somewhat know how to wield it." Not like she was exactly pleased about the fact, it just made her feel even more connected to the lunatic of a father.
