There is a legend that many speak of in the former seat of the Empire; a warrior of such sheer might that armies seemed to part upon the arrival of such a figure.
A woman on the battlefield, wearing white. Leading an army as vast as the ocean is wide. Her weapon was a halberd, a rare choice for a woman back in the times of the chaotic warefare that the empire underwent to reach its unification. The first female to ever reach the rank of Captain, and later, General. No other woman at the time had ever aspired for such heights; in fact, she was the only woman who actively led a force.
Her origins and appearance are muddled by seperate stories and her name has since been lost to time, but her title remains, even to this day.
The White Lotus.
Even after the mighty empire has fallen, there exists a group of elite warriors who dedicate themselves to the defense of the former capital city, the Vanguard of the Lotus. Wearing their traditional white, they guard the gates and keep peace in the city itself.
But the truth behind this mysterious woman is more mundane than the stories... or perhaps it is even more grand. Whatever the case may be, those that know it are few and far between.
