 Willow's heart was pounding loud enough to wake the forest as she sprinted into the hollow of the waterfalls. She was too busy to stop and enjoy the fresh scent of jasmine and lavender, and instead ran into the small rock cave where she knew Chiku would be. SHe couldn't wait to tell him her news.

Chiku perked up smelling something he loved so much, jasmine and a rich forest scent... but something was off a bit....

Willow skidded to a stop next to Chiku, and blurted out, "I have the greatest news!" Already she could feel the kits inside her moving, it wouldn't be to much longer, maybe a few days or a week. She couldn't wait to tell Chiku, he would be so excited to hear that he is going to be a father.

Chiku joking around, "Nah, don't think so... I think you being here is the bestest news," smiling broadly at something so pretty as her....

By now Willow had grown imune to blushing at Chiku's praises, but she still felt her cheeks turn a little warm. Playfully, she batted at his ear with a hoof paw, and said, "No silly! Better news than that!" Her eyes were shinning as she said, "We're going to be parents!"

Chiku went into momentary shock, then looked down and pawed foward at her and fell down beside her, slightly purring...

Willow dropped down beside him, and purred as well, feeling Chiku's own purrs resonating throughout her body.
~A couple hours later~
Willow was delighted, now sitting before her were two beautiful boxes, one looking much like her, and the other like Chiku. She bubbled in happiness, "Oh Chiku, they're gorgeous!" She nuzzled each box fondly.

Chiku smiled warmly, sniffing the boxes, " she will be named Niko, and have your loving energy," in response the small box bounced up happily.
Chiku laughed, pointing at other box, "you name him...."

Willow thought hard, the box resembled her a lot more than it did Chiku, and it needed a name to fit that. Remembering what she had seen growing next to a willow tree by the river, she said, "Cattail, this little one shall be named Cattail." It fit, after all. She nosed each of the boxes, feeling the kits inside them full of life.

Chiku smiled," my lil dryad did good, " nuzzling cattail's box," hello little one, you know you have a very pretty loving mother..." turning ,purring, to look at Willow.

Willow smiled warmly, the boxes were so fragile, yet so full of life already. She purred contetidly, and tapped the box she had named gently with her horn, and said, "This one is going to be quite the little trouble maker, I can feel it." She turned to Neko's box and said, "And this one, why this little girl is going to make us cry and laugh at the same time." She sighed, "They're going to be quite the duo."

Chiku smirked, "yes, I feel so, but little cattail, as I was saying love your dear mom, cause I don't ever wanna she her sad...." nuzzling up to willow purring

Willow grinned, and returned Chiku's nuzzle. The boxes were wriggling with the life inside, it wouldn't be long before they opened, with big eyes and large ears. She giggled at the thought.
