I never noticed this...maybe because I've never had to mop up someone else's blood before.
But Bella was right about blood.
It smells like rust and salt.
No...I didnt kill someone. >_> I'm a caregiver for my grandfather, and he fell this morning getting dressed, and he cut his nose and split his elbow open. After the paramedics left I had to clean the blood off the floor. Ick. It toatly does smell nasty.

Doesn't it! Ack. I had to walk into someone's house after they bleed, the blood was dry but you could still smell it.

It's a rather sickening smell, yes. And one thats damn near impossible to get rid of once it's dry....

Dried blood does smell horrible.. it dosn't taste that bad though. I mean, not dried blood, but liquid. Dried blood would be disgusting...
