Background: A mysterious chasm has suddenly spung up in western europe. Everybody is completly lost on where it came from and what is in it. A team of scientists and experts have been send to investigate. However, they have not reported back in several months. The agency that hired them is beggining to become uneasy about it and want to hire another team to go back and investigate. A wanted add has gone up all over and everybody has been instructed to meet at the company's home corperation to report for the team.

A complication: A local rumor has begun to spread about the chasm. an ancient story about a tribe that made sacrifices and that tried to open a portal into the very depths of the earth. Rumor has spread that the dark chasm is possessed by the spirit death its self and kills anybody who is foolish enough to stay in or around it.

Setting: The main cooperation of the company hiring. The flier failed to say what the company was or what it did, but the reward for finding the team was distraction enough from that. The cooperation is obviously a world power however, as its massive structure and size obviously shows. a small group of people all sit in the board room as they await for instructions.

(( yes)) Luthien steps into the silver walled room and looks around at the crowd. He takes a seat in one of the chairs set about around the room and takes a second look at his surroundings. He had only come here becuase the rumors intrigued him. He had heard the stories before the chasm had appeared and he was excited to hear they had appeared at last. He wasn't too sure about the company though. they called themselves INX. co. Luthien couldnt figure out what it stood for or meant. And, for such a large company, it sure did a good job at not drawing attention to itself. He had never heard of it before. Luthien shrugged off his thoughts as he heard someone approach.

Luthien shrugs off this strange girl and readjusts his attention on something else. He soon finds himself looking back over at her though. there was something that he didnt like about her. some strange feeling that she gave off. Luthein glared over at her and then turned away, shrugging off the feeling, even though it still lingered inside him.

Ranana glanced at the two new additions to the table. She chose to give no acknowledgment nor greeting. She waited for the meeting to begin, eager to shed some blood.

Luthien looks up at the head of the table as a thickly built man in a black suit walks into the room and sits down.

Ranana twitched in her chair, moving a bit to view the black suited man. She bet that he had something important to do with the meeting and she was impatient to start.

The man straightened himself out and stood before everybody. " I'm sorry to say that Mr. Grandor will not be able to make it to this meeting. He had other business to attend to. For now, i will be taking over. My name is Vincent Blaur. I am head of operations for this company and second in charge to Mr. Grandor. ".

Ranana raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. She didn't get the right vibes from this man, and she knew that that wasn't going to change soon.

Kaitlyn looked up from her folded arms that acted like a pillow, which rested on the table top. She stared at the man who had just entered, the one known as Vincent Blaur. "Well, Vincent, are you going to tell us what we are going to do, or are you going to continue with these pointless remarks about who we should really be talking to?" She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and putting them on the table.
Pulling out one of her pistols, she began to routinely check it with her hands when she spoke again. "We all know what we are here to do. There is something unnatural about that chasm, and you want people to go off and find out what is unnatural about it. Let's drop the chit-chat, and get to the point: What we are supposed to do there, and how much we are getting paid to do it."
She stuffed the magazine back into the gun, and cocked it, switching the safety on. Then, she began to absentmindedly twirl the gun around in her hand, keeping her gaze focused on Vincent, while her mind was examining the others in the room. They all made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, meaning that they each had something a bit, supernatural about them, and she wanted to make sure she knew what they were.

Ranana turned slowly to glance at the girl who just spoke up. I like this girl already. Ranana was never one for idle chitchat either, but she never spoke up about anything.

Vincent looked the girl over. He liked this girl. Straight and to the point. Doesnt waste any time with anything unnecessary. " Your job is simple. we have sent a team of experts into the chasm to do what you just said" gesturing at Kaitlyn. " However, none of them have reported in quite some time. All we need you to do is to find the missing team. As for the pay, we can discuss that. That was why it was so vague on the sheets. We are prepared to pay a very good amount of money to get this team back. They had some of our top experts and we desperately need them back here to report on their findings".
