Thsi book by John Steinbeck is a must. It is beautiful and real. When I read this book I am trasported to the island he describes and very little can brinng me back. This book is about a poor pearl diver who finds the biggest most perfect pearl ever seen. The problem is that all the pearl buyers have an agreement to shaft all who dive for the pearls. So he sets out on a journy to find someone who will buy the pearl at a fair price.
Wonderful and short please read this book you will not regret it . domokun
