It's my hobby damn it!
Yes, I love toys...a lot. So I tend to buy such things for my own personal gain, but sometimes those items go up in price. Looking back at items I took out of the packaging I notice although great in their beauty and art form, they sit there collecting dust, since they were bought on a whim. So I've started to not open the packaging, and looking up prices online. When something I bought on a whim goes up in price, I sell it.
I bought a Venom Might Mugg wave 1 for 9.99, on a whim, sold it Saturday for 30.00.
I work at a toy store...mainly I'm in video games, so I get to buy the items not easy to acquire. So I bought a Wii Mario Kart with wheel for 44.99 (discount) sold it Saturady as well for 85.00.
Who knows I may one day have a toy shop with an ebay and amazon store front.
When I have time off and I'm awake and willing to go outside, I'd like to go to garage sales and buy cheap items that sell well online. Now doing such is not a new thing, many people do this, you can too.
List any such things you've done of similar nature.

Lol i love 80's toys i buy my little ponies for my collection. I buy pound puppies, ponies, glo friends. Anything i know i can sell on ebay. I have sold over 440 items. I brought 25 ponies on ebay once for £100 including postage. Two ponies alone are worth this. They remain in my collection though. The rarest item i sold was carebear friend i think its a purple zebra. I brought it for 1.50 at a bootfair i sold it for £142.
Its big buiness and i enjoy it ... i need to do it, with my part time job.
So in some ways in similar to what you do mrgreen

I love buying figurines. xD
I buy some from Wal-mart and such in box, then also some OOB from yard sales and flea markets. I have a lot of the Marvel Legends series, including three of the larger icons series.
Most I've ever "spent" on a figurine was around $40 in trade for the Big Daddy figurine that came with the special edition of Bioshock.
