Well, well. Savage blasphemed against some sacred ideology/people and is in trouble for it. It's all over the (online) news channels. He opined that children with autism were more likely suffering from bratitude (my term) and needed a good slap instead of medication. In general, he hates the overmedication of children and decries lack of discipline in families, especially when it stems from fatherlessness. In my layman's opinion, he's correct in that many problems are avoided or resolved if the child is in a healthy family. And maybe some kids are malingering. I don't know. It's rude of him but not really a call to arms.
But, there are threats, demonstrations against radio studios that carry his show and calls to fire him. It's amazing, truly amazing, for people to care this much over his rude remarks, and not to make an outcry over blasphemy. Most of the U.S. is nominally Christian, which means they believe Jesus Christ is Lord, and filth aimed at Jesus is by extension aimed at all his followers. Judeo-Christian beliefs made civil rights and Western science possible. Our freedoms are in the Bible.
And it's OK to spit at the foundation of civilization, to tear it down, but some poor addled kids - can't say anything negative about them?
This is why I consider myself a lousy debater. The issues are so glaringly obvious that it's not even worth it to argue. I would just like to load up all the radical liberals, great and small, rich and poor, and truck them to the desert. Any desert. Maybe Iran. And then drive away.

Autism has many forms. Asperger's being one of them, but a milder form. It's also something we don't fully understand and I agree medicating the kids to death who have it is not a good idea.

Also, the idea behind physical punishment is sound. If a parent spanks a kid who's been acting up, that kid is less likely to act up in the future. It is not child abuse. It is teaching discipline. Imagine what it would be like with more self-discipline in the world.

Well, here's the thing, when you tell it like it ACTUALLY is and not mince words, you're always gonna run into trouble because rampant political correctness has run amuch in this country. This nation has no self-discilpine, not to mention that the schools brainwash the kids as soon as they kit Pre-K. The problem is that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder and all the idiots in power are afflicted. No wonder why the kids act up so damn much these days. I should know, I've been in this situation before. I was actually diagnosed with Autism a few years ago but I never believed it. I only believed that it was a label kids who the puppet-masters at the taught were too gifted. Hell, why do you see "disorders" like Autism and ADD/ADHD diagnosed as such so easily? I say it's to quell any chances of the kids from thinking on thier own and to enforce their group-think policies. Governmedication is not the answer to quell any bratitude. It's a good paddling and strong disciplination and NO, it's NOT child abuse for spanking a child who acts up. All this stems from the fact that, and I'll quote Savage on this one.... LIBERALISM TRULY IS A MENTAL DISORDER!!!!!
