There are several good resources on web sites out there. If you run across one that is good and hasn't been listed yet, post it in here for us -- or PM me with the url.

Thanks! ^__^

Komen site

http://cms.komen.org/komen/index.htm

This organization has sponsored (monetarily) much of the breast cancer research taken place in the last 25 years.

Their website has some good information on diagnosis, treatment and more, and it is pretty up to date as well.

Check it out.

Here is an excellent site for tips on eating (and holding it down) after chemo treatments. The site has other information on chemotherapy as well; check the site links at the top.

Information, some of it rudimentary, on BC. Some links, but careful, some of the links are commercial ones selling BC products.

Excellent source of information. Lists of organizations, toll-free numbers, government agencies dealing with BC and more. Also, the site itself has information. Recommended.

Excellent source of information on all aspects of BC. Recommended.

Breast Cancer . org -- outstanding source of information, including chat rooms and a discussion board. Nothing like talking with your peers in the fight against this disease -- get real life responses to questions from people who've been there, and goofy humor only those with the disease can appreciate, plus pats on the back and hugs.

This site even has a dictionary of terms... select the starting letter of a term you want more information on, and voila, you got it. Highly recommended site.

http://www.tlcdirect.org/default.aspx

This is a non-profit shop from The American Cancer Society/BC area. It sells wigs, scarves, mastectomy bras and camisoles.

I bought a camisole from them. It was not cheap, but it had three advantages:

1) it opens down the front with velcro, easy to use with one arm

2) it has two pockets and two breast forms (I will only need one; the other slides out of its hidden pocket easily)

3) it has two inner side pockets for drainage bulbs, necessary for a period of time after a mastectomy. They are removable when no longer needed.

This is the only place on-line I found this camisole.

This looks interesting. It's one of those "click to donate" sites.
