Wow, we spent a long time forgetting about this arc. biggrin This is probably the most cannon couple in Higurashi (even with Shion and Satoshi, interest is never completely affirmed on both sides, as much as we like to imagine it to be so). And fact is, the way Akira (Todou) tries to snap Natsumi out of her psychosis, to me, brings to mind Rena trying to bring Keiichi back in Onikakushi-hen.
