A small grove of trees that circles around a small clearing. Some of surrounding clearing is blackened with magical explosions.

A rune circle appeared inside the blasted clearing. A small portal appeared and Chephros dropped out. Forceful teleportations were never a fun business, but the Dark Sage tended to do that every now and then. Staggering as he came out of the portal, Chephros pushed his keystaff into the ground to get his balance quickly and glanced around. Six shadows came to his call, staying flat to the ground and scouting around quickly. He was rather good at controlling small groups of the weaker heartless to do as he wanted. They never felt fear much, but he had a way of inspiring them to cooperate with exactly what he order when he blasted one out of existence with pure magical force. There were enough of them it didn't matter.
The shadows returned momentarily with a report of nothing. Chephros waved them off and looked about the clearing. He'd started here, the Dark Sage had initially found him here. He'd been practicing magic, blasting at the ground. As if to spite his former self, he dropped a Firaga at his feet, creating a quick flash burst of flame covering a good section of the ground. Then he stepped forward into a dark portal that created itself right as he reached it and shut right behind him.

Landing in the area of the blasted grove through a distorted warp hole that opened up between the Metal Heart and this Blasted Grove, Tereus was thrown into the ground back first. Slowly getting up and shaking his head slightly, he was pissed. Something was out of place here.
"So the seed of betrayal finally germinates.."
From the distance there was a dark portal that opened and closed behind a figure stepping through it. No doubt it was Chephros. He had been thrown into the same area as Tereus when the old man opened the warp hole. It was passed the time of bickering and holding conversation, it was time for action.
"So they're planning on betraying Kazei eh...I would let the hard headed one step into their trap, but I won't do that for the simple fact being that I need someone's a** to kick from time to time that's around my level."
He knew he wasn't the toughest fighter. He was far from it. However, Tereus always felt that Kazei stood off on his level. Now the Glimmers and Fragments were finally making their way to the main game. Glimmers, mere scattered light left from a broken being. They are the positive things that make up a man. The mere things that he once had as a complete being. To be complete is one of the most lusted things in the world to some beings. Heartless and Nobodies. One lusts for a heart while the other lusts for a body. Tereus heard the old man mention something of destroying Kazei's glimmers. A pretty messed up thing to do to a human being, by stripping away all that he's had left.
"Wait, am I going soft....Nah, I just need someone's a** to kick from time to time, and I need him to remember every bit of it. I can careless about the rest of the Void."
With that, a dark portal was reopened in front in front of him. Where it lead, only Tereus knew. Things were now starting to unfold, and Tereus was about to to throw off the balance. In the end, he would be the last man laughing. The Glimmers were now resonating. He finally understood why Kazei spared Hoax. No one quite new, but a gimmer lied with Hoax.
