yeah trigun is old but seriously even if he was old he could destroy anything he wanted with his canon!! lol hey drangon ball is pretty old also but the oldest is hello kittie!! look how long that has been around!!
"Hello Kitty" was introduced in 1974, so it isn't even close to being the oldest anime. That honor usually goes to "Imokawa Mukozo the Doorman" from 1917. Yup, anime has been around for almost 100 years, and manga is even older.
LOL!! I guess some of these things seem old to those of you under 25, but I've been an anime fan for longer than most Gaians have been alive. I watched "Kimba the White Lion" (1965) and "Speed Racer" (1967) as a kid in the early 70's, then "Akira" in the 80's and "Cowboy Bebop", "Trigun" and "DBZ" in the 90's. I remember the days when it was really hard to find manga and anime outside of Japan, especially before the Internet.
So I have more of Vash's perspective of time.
mrgreen Trivia: Many of the plot and character elements of "Kimba" were stolen by Disney and shamelessly used in "The Lion King". I guess they figured that no one would notice, since "nobody important watches Japanese animation".
