 Stark had heard many different things about the Stone Temple, but none had been particularly dissuading for him. He wanted to explore it, and no rumors would scare him off. In fact, they only served to ignite his interest. If it was dangerous, he wanted to see just how much. If it was scary, he wanted to see why.
And if it was just an old, forgotten, boring ruin he would be really irritated.
Perching near what he deigned serviceable as an entryway, Stark peered around. He had flown against the wind, and his feathers were a bit rumpled. It did not sit well with him, a fairly vain creature, and he wanted to be sure no one was around to see it. Taking a moment off from his adventure to preen himself, he carefully made himself a bit more presentable.
For the empty, dark pile of rocks.

Sanura had spent the morning atop the stone temple, sleepily hopping about. As she usually had, she had spent the night there calling the top of the temple home. She had preened her feathers as the sun rose, and was now ready to head down the temple.
Spreading her wings, Sanura took to the air. As she flew around the temple on her way to search for food, something had caught her eye. Bright red feathers at an entrance to the temple. She found it odd. Normally there weren't other Khensu at the temple this early. Flying on she circled back around the temple, landing hear the brightly colored male preening his feathers.
Landing softly she watched him for a moment, with his back to her. She found it odd that he was standing so close to an opening in the stone wall. None, if any of the others she had ever seen come to the temple had ever dared to go inside. Yet he looked like he might, if he hadn't been preening himself at the moment. Adjusting her stance, Sanura clicked her talons against the stone to catch the males attention.

Stark turned at the sound of talons against stone, his feathers ruffling at the surprise. This irritated him, considering he had just been smoothing them out, and now all his work had been for nothing. Clicking his beak, he shook his head and let his feathers settled as they wanted, his sleek red body returning to its usual grace without the help of his preening. Tilting his head at the female he found staring at him, he cast a glance around and wondered where she had come from.
“Morning,” he said, by way of a proper greeting. His tone was indifferent, as if he were pointing out that it was, in fact, morning rather than wishing her a good one. His sharp green eyes looked her over, sizing her up and allowing him to determine that she was not a threat. Not immediately, at any rate. Stark was one to believe everyone was after him. Not in a paranoid, hide behind trees kind of way, but as a source of thrill. If he considered everyone a threat, he had more of a chance of making new enemies and, in that way, satisfying his constant need for confrontation and battles to win.
Yet the Khensu before him did not strike him as one he should mess with offhandedly. He wanted to know where she had come from, and why she was here. And, above all, if she had ever been in the temple or had any interest in going inside. And the best way for him to figure all of that out was to ask her directly. So he did.
“Where did you come from? Why are you here, at this temple? Have you ever been inside? Do you want to go?”
