 Verra sighed and meandered down the forest trail with nothing to do. It was a sunny day and everything was fine, for everyone else. She had nowhere to go, and no one to talk to. She decided to take a small break from walking, to rest her feet. As the Tokoro did so, her boredom started to take over. Suddenly, she heard something in the trees. She looked up, but saw nothing. Was someone there or was it just the wind?

That was a close one. Kazu gulped as he looked down. From where he'd been, if he had fallen and not caught himself, he would've seriously hurt himself. Or the lady that had promptly seated herself below him. He sighed, his grip loosening on the branch he'd been clinging to for his life. His eyes traveled around, searching for an easy way to get down and not scare the daylights out of the lady below him. Finding none, he simply leapt down, hoping he didn't scare her too bad. What, with coming out of nowhere like that.

Verra was startled and taken aback as someone leaped out from the trees. She looked up and then back at the male. "Did you just...? Where you the one up there?" It took a moment for her to realize. "Sorry, where are my manners? We haven't been introduced, that was rather rude of me. I'm Verra, who might you be, sir?"

Kazu turned and smiled. Wow, she was bright, but she was a lovely bright female. "My name's Kazu. And, yeah, I was up there. Sorry about that. I almost fell and I didn't want to startle you," he said, shifting from paw to paw as if he couldn't be still. Which, was entirely true. He was too hyper to stand still.

She laughed, noticing his movements. "Hohmygosh! Are you okay?" She looked him over for any scratches, bruises, or bumps. Finding none, she relaxed. "You seem okay." She looked at his pattern on his fur and it took a while until she blinked. "Whoa, your fur is... mesmerizing..." She pulled back, smiling.

He laughed a bit at her last comment. "Yeah, I know, right?" He chuckled, looking at her fur, "But, you're is very pretty. The colors are breath taking." He grinned, his tail swaying gently behind him. "My brother and the human that takes care of us says I could hypnotize people," he said, nodding his head like he knew what he was talking about. Though, in all reality, he didn't.

Verra curled her tail around herself and blushed, looking down at her fur. "They can't be that great..." She laughed lightly, a bit embarrassed. "You probably could. You got me going right now." She tore her eyes away from his fur to focus them on his eyes.

He chuckled, taking a few steps toward her, making the blue-violet of his eyes as noticeable as his fur. "Actually they are," he said, then paused, "Or, at least they're appealing to me, the hypnotist." He smiled, trying to get her to laugh again. Call him crazy, but he liked the sound of her laugh. It was a musical epiphany that was.. soothing, to say the least. Not to mention it was friendly.

She smiled and laughed again. Verra gazed into Kazu's eyes. "Your eyes are wonderful, they match your fur~" She smiled and pulled away as she felt her face start to get hot from the blush that was creeping up. She thanked the heavens for pinkish red fur. It made the blush less noticeable.

Blood and heat flushed into his cheeks, his fur going darker by the second. "Uhm...," he shifted from paw to paw, "uh, well..." His voice drifted away, his body feeling cold compared to his face. A sound of resignation rumbled deep in his throat as he sat down. Now it was his tail that couldn't stop moving and fidgeting. It was crazy, but his heart felt like it was about to fly, taking him with it.
