Shinji's squad had been given instructions to follow a map. Each student had a different path to follow, and each path went a different way. There was a puzzle to be solved along each path. The map said there would be consequences if the puzzle was ignored, and consequences if the puzzle was wrong.
The question marked for Zahkar:
What is the fastest way between two points on the Earth?
Along the path was a box with four levers on it. Under each lever were pictures of the following.
[ l ] (straight line)
[ ) ] (curved line)
[ . ] (stand still)
[ S ] (Wavy line)
On the box was a warning: Choose carefully.
The question marked for Xiomara:
On a windy day, a rooster lays an egg on a roof. Which direction does the egg roll down?
Again, four levers.
[With the wind]
[Against the wind]
[Down the steeper side]
[What egg?]
The question marked for Sesu:
A man builds a house of rectangular construction with four walls. Each wall has a southern exposure. A bear comes along and strikes a wall. What color is the bear?
Four levers once more.
[Black]
[Brown]
[White]
[Impossible scenario]
If the students ignored the questions, tripwires would trigger traps to spray them in flourescent orange paint (clothing washable). if they got the wrong answer, they would be sprayed in flourescent green paint. If they got a close answer, they would be sprayed in white paint. The means the trap was set, a genin wouldn't have time to react to the trap and pull the lever at the same time.
Shinji waits in a clearing for his students. The hike they were given was apporximately 2 hours long. Shinji's questions would likely slow them down somewhat, but he hoped for this. He had 4 lunch boxes with him. One for each person including himself. He also had a water bucket and some towels for his own reasons.
The clearing itself was rested up against a 20 foot cliff face. The cliff was rough, possible to climb with handholds instead of chakra, and lead to another clearing up above. The clearing had a 50 foot radius, that is, a 100 foot diameter. The clearing was relatively rounded, and trees and shrubs sorrounded the grounds. 3 small folding chairs were placed infront of Shinji, who sat on a rock.

I walk up to the Box and i read the question once then once more grasping the Lever marked What Egg "man that almost fooled me then i remembered that roosters cant lay eggs Ha" I stand at the Gate awaiting my fate hoping that my logic was correct

The lever clicked into position, then the box opened up. There was a key inside. What for? One would find out eventually. The answer was correct. Males cannot bear children.

Xio grabbed the key slowly and then started off down the path at a rather quick pace but was still being very alert but before she left she put a note on the other two's boxes that said "see you at the finish line boys !!"

Zakhar arrived just as Xio was dashing off on the path he walked up to the box and read the note and thought to himself "oh no she is not going to beat me here" then he looked at his question and dropped his jaw and looked at how quickly she was Gainging distanse and so he sat down and thought about all the different choices pulling out a scroll and a pencil drew a circle and drew out each Scenario at the end of his short process he looked at his drawings and thought it was a straight line but then he hesitated thinking about demensoins and that a Circle is 2d and a sphere is 3d so he Grabbed the lever with the [ ) ] symbol below it and heard the box clicking and closed his eyes and prayed "oh please be right i just bought these Clothes"

The box shuddered a moment, then opened and revealed another key. This one was slightly different from Xiomara's but certainly a similar style.

Zakhar grabbed the Key and focused Chakra into his legs accellerating his speed and Sprinted down the his path trying to catch up with Xi "not going to to lose to you he said rushing to fast to notice anything

Xiomara reaches the Base of the Cliff and starts to Climb up using a Kunai instead of a carabeaner in case she fell she climbed left and right and even did Some bouldering jumps before reaching the edge climbing up and then slipping a little tore out some grass on the edge and scared her self quite a bit then once she reached the top she laid on the grass for a moment then sat up and looked around and Saw shinji her hopped up and rushed over to him before sitting on the folding chair in the middle before saying a little Breathless but still smiling
"Hello Sensei how are you?"

Shinji watched as his student scrambled up the cliff face. She found a seat and gave a greeting, so he did the same. A light smile and a small nod, "I'm well, thankyou..." The next pupil would be arriving momentarily.

Sees Xi Climbing up the mountain as he reaches the bottom "no no no think Zakhar think" he pulls out a grappling hook and tosses it up over the edge of the cliff pulls it down hard once checking that its secure then climbs up the rope and sees her in the chair "damn i lost the race" he walks over and flops down onto the ground infront of one of the chairs that is not occupied but still strains a smile to say "good afternoon Shinji-sama" and still make it look and sound normal

Xio turned her head and the disappointing look on his face and said
"well if you think about it you would have won the race if you and i started at the same time" She said with a small smile then content she turned back to the sensei and laid back in the chair waiting for instruction and the third student to arrive

he turns his head and looks at her and thinks about what she said and inside though "OH YEAH I won" then was much calmer and happier

Kaole ran up to his box panting. He had realized he was late and needed to make up for lost time so he sprinted. He walked up to the box and read his question. It took Kaole a little while for him to get it and he pulled the lever that said white and waited to see if he was correct.

The box sfhited, then opened. Inside, another key. The path wasn't much longer until the destination. There, Shinji would give them their rewards, but only when they were all present.

Kaole snatched the key from within the box and sprinted off. He had a feeling he would be the last one there and when he saw the large cliff he sighed. Climbing up the cliff took a while but he was able to make it up. He saw his other two teammates and sensei. Rubbing the back of his head and standing straight up Kaole said, "Uhm, sorry for being a bit late sensei. May i take a seat?"
