I have been reading the Twilight series recently and really like it. This question has been running through my mind a lot. I thought sense Buffy has Vampires and Werewolves this would be a good place to ask.

So

Vampires or Werewolves.

What if a Vampire where to bite a Werewolf

Vampires always seem to be aware of their actions, even if in Buffy they can't really stop their desire for blood, but werewolves don't seem to have as much control. Oz doesn't even realise he's a werewolf until he wakes up wearing very little in the middle of a forest, and the ones in twilight don't have much control over when they change, and can hurt people, for example Sam hurts the person he loves (but whose name I can't remember right now.)

while i'm morally against twilight (it's a religious thing), i do think that it portrays an interesting side of vampire lore. i've never read the books, but from what i can tell, things are very different.
some vampires are depicted as the elegant, yet extremely pale blood-suckers, but others (buffy) depict them as evil creatures with a more human side and a more bestial side that surfaces when they're provoked. personally, that's the way i prefer my vampires: lumpy foreheads.
but i'm okay with vampires with smooth foreheads. hey, they're still vamps, aren't they? they're just not my favorite.
but there are also other things that make vamps vamps. things that destroy/hurt them are a big debate.
there's one thing that generally a big deal: sunlight. most vampires i've EVER heard of either cannot go in the sun at all due to burning of the skin or feel very uncomfortable (maybe even in pain) in it. from what i've heard of twilight, however, the vampires only sparkle when they go in the sun. now, the thing with knowing you'll burn up in the sun makes you NOT want to go out there, but if you know you'll only sparkle, the only thing stopping you is that people will think you're a glitter queen. to me, as a vampire in the twilight universe, i'd be more afraid for my reputation than my skin complexion.

no, it's just a joke. i didn't like the books and i make up a different reason every time someone asks. the real reasons i don't like them is because 1) i don't think the writing is very good and 2) buffy sort of killed me for vampire love triangles. i even get sick of the soap opera-y-ness of buffy and then there's a whole book just about that? it's frustrating to me.

but really, i'm against twilight because my religion allows me to only believe in what's real: television. what's this thing called a book? who reads!? Praise TV! Amen.

I don't know, I like Twilight, but you're right, the writing is quite bad at times. Why do I keep reading? I think I'm a romanticist at heart.
I prefer the vampires in Buffy in a way, because they have weaknesses, which makes them more realistic. And they have more levels.

Anyway, I found my favourite hate site of Twilight. Comments made are quite true (although I still love the books.)

That would be cool. However, I'm torn between lovin' a vamp, or a woofie sad sad, I know. That is the mind of a fickle woman. I haven't begun reading the series of books yet, but I have purchased the two of the four in the series and I want to collect them all so that I can just sit down and read through them all. 4laugh

I like Werewolves, at least the kinds that have control of themselves when they transform, such as Underworld or Twilight (although remember they're just shapeshifters in Twilight and not actually lycanthropes). Probably like them more because vampires are a major source female lust. They're not even frightening anymore, they've become too "sexy".
