I see around the interwebs that some people don't believe that Zack asked Aeris to wear pink and then "omg!" she did. So, I went through the trouble of finding the scene on youtube. : ) It's the last DMW sequence shown in the video.

Not only did Aeris promise to wear the bow, but dressing in Pink was an indirect promise.
