So has anyone experimented with journalism? I'm more interested in entertainment, specifically covering concerts, art shows, community events, etc. I was involved with my high school's newspaper quite a bit, it was really fun to work on a team-annoying too! I'm interning with a local newspaper at the moment. I've decided I don't want to pursue it as a career, it's so much work. Travelling, talking to people, doing research, paying attention, and then composing the article. The highlight is that I get to go backstage and get free passes for events that I would be paying for otherwise. In the next few weeks I will be covering a major film festival and got a press pass to go see whatever I want! It's a hobby for me, but I don't think I'll pursue anything higher than community level.
Your thoughts?

I would rather be the photographic journalist. I am more comfortable with having my pictures seen by many people than my writing seen by one person. Its allows for more creativity as well.

I worked on a college newspaper writing articles and editorial pieces; and later managing the paper's website.
