The Firing Range

RANGE A
Fire Arms
The Firing Range, a place where one can hone one's weapons skills, and improve accuracy and over all efficacy with a weapon. The Firing Range is located outside of the base behind the air field. Your targets will range from precision targets for sniping such as the AR-5, and AR-510 which is meant for adjusting the targets on your sights or precession shooting. Two lanes on the far left side of the range are reserved for precision shooting and marksmen ship for those of you who wish to be graded on accuracy.

There will be a Range Master on the range at all times. If you wish to be graded a Range Masters assistant will help assist you, unless you require the Range Master him/herself. The eight other slots on the firing range will be used to target paper targets with a hay behind the target followed by a quarter inch piece of steel. Paper targets range from simple targets, hostile pop up targets, hostage situation targets.

There are three types of ranged targets they are close, medium, and long range. For snipers there are targets that are considered extreme targets and are out of reach from standard rifles and pistols. Sniper Rifles and long barreled rifles have a higher chance of hitting these targets. There are three towers allowing for sniper rifle use only.

Rules:
1. TREAT EVERY WEAPON AS IF IT WHERE LOADED! I can not stress enough at how many people assumed a weapon was safe or unloaded and fired it at a fellow soldier and shot them accidentally either causing critical injury or killing them.
2. NEVER point your weapon at a fellow soldier, you will be treated as a hostile target and will be disarmed and removed from the range.
3. If there is no Range Master or Range assistants you should not be on the range.
4. When someone shouts CEASE FIRE! You will immediately cease firing, no matter how perfect a shot you have you will stop and safe your weapon. You will then place down your weapon, if your weapon has a round in the chamber raise a hand so that the Range Master and his assistants know that your weapon is hot. Calling cease fire even when there is no threat will not get you in trouble, it practices good safety etiquette.
5. Safety glasses, and ear plugs will be worn at the range at all times, no one wants a round they sent down range to ricochet off and hit them in the eye, or go deaf from firing so many rounds.
6. No horseplay or goofing around on the line. Any of this will have you removed from the range.
7. Bring targets in when done shooting, so that they may be graded and evaluated.
8. No Armor piercing or Tracer ammunition. We don't want fires or rounds to end up on the other side of the steel shield.
9. Police up brass and trash when done shooting (Brass goes in the buckets, not in the gravel!)

10. INSTRUCTIONS FROM RANGE OFFICERS ARE FINAL!!

The Firing Range

RANGE B
Big Guns
This range is considered a hostile area, you will be supervised by a Range Master at all times, one range master to each person. This area is slightly different than that of a standard firing range, there are five lanes that are at twenty feet in each section allowing a larger range of fire on multiple targets, and a series of moving targets. Automatic rifle may also be used on this range as well, but it is mainly meant for saturation fire from automatic weapons.

Targets are ballistic gel targets that are constantly melted down and remolded by an automated system down the range. No personnel is used except for retrieving lead that piles up in the storage containers down range. This firing range is located next to Range A, however a make shift wooden wall prevents stray weapons fire from crossing over to other targets on Range A, though this rarely happens. The wall stands roughly five feet high.

Rules:

The Firing Range

RANGE C
Energy Weapons
This firing range is different than the other three firing ranges due to the fact that it is inside, under observation from computers and Range Masters. There are five firing position underneath a viewing platform of the Range Master. The Range Master has sophisticated equipment to prevent weapon over heating, and disabling each firing slot with a small EMP burst in a specific firing box.

Targets on this range are unique because they utilize the Tesla technology incorporated into the body armor that the brother hood uses in their power armor and Tesla Armor. These targets are meant to capture laser fire from weapons and disperse it back into the system in order to be re used. Plasma weapons however are slightly different. The armor has been made to resist plasma scorching but ever constant bombardment from plasma the armor must be broken down, or repaired.

This firing is located inside the brother hood base due to the valuable weapons fired, and equipment used. Energy weapons and sophisticated technology take priority over projectile weapons.

Rules:
1. TREAT EVERY WEAPON AS IF IT WHERE LOADED! I can not stress enough at how many people assumed a weapon was safe or unloaded and fired it at a fellow soldier and shot them accidentally either causing critical injury or killing them.

The Firing Range

RANGE D
Explosives
This range is considered hostile territory, if you point your weapon anywhere but down range you will be either incapacitated my your supervisor either by being disarmed, bludgeoned or shot. These are explosive and are considered a high threat to everything and everyone around you. Range Masters are armed and will not hesitate to fire at some gun toting initiate wilding explosive weaponry.

This range is located out and away from the base due to it's destructive nature. You must walk to the range, with the weapon empty and rounds stored in a separate container. When finished firing a Range Master will inspect your weapon and remove any rounds left inside, and safe your weapon.

Targets on this range are made out of mud and straw, the brotherhood decided to be cheap and use these materials because they are found around the base and in the craters formed by weapons fire. Targets on the range consist of tanks, small clusters of infantry, and single infantry units. there are no mechanisms to make anything move, everything is stationary. A brick wall outlines this area to prevent people and animals from wandering in, the wall is at least 25 meters away from any given target to prevent damage or destruction.

-Continued from Watch Tower-

Mark entered the range showing his weapon and the empty magazine chamber. Walking down the side path down the range he picked up a shield and slowly but quickly walked over to his target. Granted the range was fairly clear, but couldn't take the chance at someone shooting at him. Tearing down the AR-510 Mark saw how inaccurate the his sights where, they where of by about an inch on each target. Mark folded the target and put it into his pocket, grabbing new one he placed it onto the bale of hay. Picking up his shield Mark walked off the range behind the protection of his shield.

Getting back on the side path he walked back down range and handed over his target to the Range Master who began looking it over,
"Looks light you need to adjust your sights, by about three or four turns..." he said as he handed him a BOAR Sight, "Use this it will help a lot more than just putting pellets down range" he said. Mark took it with a thanks and left the firing range.

"Alright, Squad! Wot should we hit first?" Kaiser asked, his voice enthusiastic. He wanted to hit the explosives first.. but was willing to allow his squad to do what they wished.
"We cin make some crotch booombs.." he teased, nudging Takayuki.

Taka stood next to Kaiser quietly with his M-16 slung over his shoulder. He gave a smirk when he mentioned crotch bombs. "That seems like a good idea. Give your squad the gift of ranged croth bomb tossing." he said laughing a little. He looked at Kai and walked forward a little bit. "I'm a pretty good shot, but my work with explosives is quite bad."

"The more reason to practice with them!" He gave Taka a light push towards Range D.
"Go on!"

Kairi walked onto the fireing range, not bothering to stop at her squad leader but insted stoped at the table that held diffrent types of small arms ammo. She grabed a few clips of .44 mm rounds and stuffed them into an easy to reach pouch. Sonn after doing that she turned to the targets down range and started fireing her twin desert eagels.

At his own hidden firing range, he had lined 60 dummies. the dummies were strait, zig-zagged, crossed, curved, every shape imaginable.
He took his Automatic Kalashnikov 1947, it was polished and clean, equipped with a silencer, a grenade launcher, an ACOQ scope, and a folding metal stock. He set it to semi-auto, he sounded breathless. He was aiming at the dummies now, with a drum clip of 71 rounds in he opened fire. snip snip snip his silencer was amazing, not stopping a single moment always shooting not missing at all. He hit 30 in the head, he fired 27 rounds. He pulled down his sight goggles, they were the only ones in the world, he made them. He shot the last 30 with 18 rounds.

Pleased with himself Ivan Drago knew his talent would be greatly pleasing to the BOS. Initiate Ivan Drago looked torwards the sky... remembering his wife and kids, the reason behind his skills. He wanted to be Commissar Ivan Drago.
