I enjoyed the episode.

The relationship was pretty impossible anyway, since romantic love doesn't work for the Doctor's character. Rose did get what she wanted all along from him, and at least the Doctor knows she's in the best possible hands, sad as it is. Actually, I would have loved seeing more of the second doctor. Humanity did change him.

Donna's situation saddened me though. Worst possible thing to happen to a person, reverting back to your old self after progressing so far.

And as for Rose spinoffs, I doubt the writers would touch on that subject after giving it a clear ending. At least with Jack we knew his storyline wasn't over. Just have to stick with fanfiction I guess.
