Welcome fellow readers to the Good Readers Guide Book.
All I ask of you is to be nice and polite to one another, unless its criticising.
For all writers, post a synopsis of your book plus an up to three paragraph extract in your initial post. Readers will read what they want to do so don't be pushy. Oh and this is not a forum for help. They will judge you on what you give them. If its utter rubbish, you will pay.
For the readers, do not edit or attempted to help them directly, all your here for is a good read, or a good rant at the writer.

I'm a little confused about the purpose of this forum. Is it just like... a collection of writing that we don't want to be criticized on? Or is it a place for gammas to post their work that they need proofed by a beta?

This is a place for people who want someone just to read their work if they are happy its been edited enough. This is the crit area not the beta area.
