I remember the one where that lil kid saw his mom die while he was hiding in that closet, and then he was brought down to the station because he had nowhere to go. And he ended up shooting the guy that led to his mom's death. And then he died :[

I've definitely gotten choked up while watching Law & Order many times.
The episode where Cabot goes under secret government custody gets me all sad. I mean, she gets shot by the drug dealing people, and (THANKFULLY) she didn't die... though, they played it off like she did, and had it as a headline in the newspaper... omigosh... it makes me soooooooo sad!!!
It's much more relieving after Oliva and Elliot get to see her before she goes under custody of the government, and yeah...
I'd be soooo upset if they actually KILLED Cabot... since she's my favorite character! ^_^

The episodes like "911" and "Fault" make me very sad... and ANY episodes were someone under the age of 10 always make me sad, and angry at the perpetrators who would do such a thing.

The one where Kathy is pregnant and Olivia is driving her to the hospital and they get in a crash and Kathy almost doesn't survive. sweatdrop It's my favorite!

there was this one episode, not so much sad but kinda thought provoking. it was last season when robin williams appeared, and he wanted to know if people were like sheep, following the herd and stuff. i dunno, it just made me sorta think you know, but then again, law and order always makes me think (that's what i love about it!) smile

I believe in Harvey Dent.
An episode that really made me sad was the one where the football player was thought to have killed his fiancé, and he had to retire early because people were pissed that he was gay. Then his manager killed his fiancé and everything.

definitely any thing that involves olivia getting hurt so....Fault. the one one where her and kathy get into a car crash,the one where a chick hit her in the back of the head knocking her down,and finally undercover.

The one where the little black girl dies and her foster mother's foster brother tried to save her. If that makes any sense at all...but that's one that got to me.

Sometimes I get a bit sad when they have episodes with young children getting hurt physically or mentally. But normally I'm fine with the plots.

The one with the girl who was a mtf transsexual with the boyfriend that didn't know. I think shes the one who was forced into a male prison because they said she might be faking and got gang raped in the end.
And the one with the girl who had two moms. D: How the boy kept teasing her so she stabbed him with scissors and then her grandparents said she was being molested because of a crooked lawyer.

Oh, one that made me really sad was one of the very first episodes I think it was. It was this girl's soccer team or something and they were being molested by the head football player or something. And one of the little girls drew a picture and they thought that the coach was molesting them.
It was really sad.

I dont remember all the details of the ep. I just remeber Casey and Olivia in a bar and Olivia was telling Casey about this one time she had had it with her mom being drunk and she kicked her... hard and she just slumped to the ground.
I just love the look on Olivia's face just the sheer pain she was experiencing telling her story and Casey's face.
I don't like Casey but that was a good episode for me.
Also there was one episode where Olivia went to see Huang and she asked him if people are bad because of their genes or they learn to be bad and then she tells him that her father was a rapist and she was a product of rape. I just felt so bad for her.

it was definitely the epi where the Latino child shot the little Black girl. there was a huge commotion over how he was set free but the mother of the deceased girl asked the crowd to "go to their children and prevent this from happening again." the public wanted restitution while the mother knew the true answer was forgiveness. but in the end a different little boy killed the Latino boy and said "you can't just kill a sista and expect to walk." the show ended with that and it was a given that that child was going to jail. it's such an applicable show that you just want to cry sometimes. just a never ending cycle.
