Go on then, tell us more about yourself and what you make. You should probably include what media you work with.
I'll go first.
My name is James, I will probably be a legend in my own lifetime. I use computer, photography, sound, words and spanners to make minimal pieces of immense beauty. A dark shadow looms over everything I make. I have a very low tolerance of people. I am British, but decidely unpatriotic - which doesn't mean I'll watch my country take a bashing. I argue my point to it's end and I never sleep.

"Nothing is true . . . I won't give my real name, but I will say that I am 18 years old, am a girl, and have been drawing my whole life. I started out drawing animals, dragons, Pokemon-like creatures, and other things along those lines. People were the LAST thing I EVER wanted to draw -- the very thought sent dread through my mind! By the time I was in the middle of Middle School, I got into anime and that got me into drawing people. Ever since then, I've been drawing people all the time.
My preferred art style is cartoony, seeing as how anime was what inspired me to draw people. I can draw realistic, however, but only if I push myself. It may not be my preferred style, but I can draw realistic well enough. I have the skills to do whatever I put my mind to, but only if I'm willing to do it.
My preferred medium is pencil on paper and colored in with either colored pencils or markers/pens. I am old-fashioned in the sense that I do everything by hand and never use computer programs and tricks. I am also, for the most part, self-taught. Sure, I learned things in my art classes, but overall everything I know about art I have learned by trial-and-error and just doing things. And every time I try, I rarely ruin a picture, which is a rare occurrence.
Bit-by-bit, I am moving further outside of my comfort zone, trying more realistic-type drawings, though I haven't done many. I still prefer cartoony drawings, all-in-all.
Also, I am a nice person who does not swear, hates death metal, and can't stand super-graphic movies. However, if a picture calls for blood or to be disturbing, then I'll do it. I keep an open mind when I draw, just like when I write. If a character is psychotic, then the picture will be disturbing; if a character is heroic, the picture will be epic; if a character is silly, then so will the drawing! You see where I'm going with this? sweatdrop
Anyway, that is all I can say about myself and my art. You'll have to actually SEE my art to find out more! mrgreen . . . Everything is permitted."

I'm Ninon. It's a French name and I'm too lazy to explain it's pronounciation. If you're gonna address me, I like being called Ninz, Shark, or HEY YOU ANNOYING KID SHUT UP. I'm 15. I'm annoying to most and my sense of humor is immature. I wanna be famous. I choose whether I type literately or not based on my mood.
I work traditionally. I draw people and design clothes and hairstyles. I'd like to say that I wear clothes like that and have hair like that, but I don't. I'm too lazy to sew or cut my own hair. I really love colouring with copic markers and sometimes use my derwent coloursoft pencils (<3) but markers have my heart because they just tend to look cleaner in my opinion.
When I started out I drew (really lame) anime and eventually decided that to draw in your own style, you first have to learn to draw normally, and that's what I'm doing now. Personally I like my semi-realistic style better. I say semi because I can't draw perfectly and use inked lineart. I taught myself to draw when I was a toddler, I learn a bit from How to Draw books, things like clothing wrinkles and shading, but the majority of what I do is from observing reality and practice.
I colour with bright colours and recently I started doing full page backgrounds to go with my drawings because I realized nobody likes looking at some plain person standing in a white world. D:
I decided I would join when I was invited because I'm not famous enough on DA to have anyone watching my every move, and that's exactly what I want. I eventually want people to read my name and know who I am, and I want people to notice my art.

I'm Kelso. I'm an 18 year old girl, I live in a tiny town in BC Canada. I have 4 facial piercings, stretched ears (2gage), a black mohawk (w/green stubble), and always wear my 1 inch spiked collar, whether habitually or for comfort reasons, I don't know anymore, I only take it off to shower, I can't even sleep without it now.
I just Graduated and didn't manage to get into University this year. I applied to the University of British Columbia (Okanagan) for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program, I want to Apprentice as a tattoo artist and eventually open a shop with my best Friend, somewhere along the lines taking a piercing course. I love Punk-Rock music and have considered learning bass guitar, and I once wanted to be a clothing designer. I draw in my heavy, hardcover, sketchbook with a .5mm mechanical pencil. I decided when I was 10 that I loved anime when I saw the cartoon Pokemon, so I tried imitating what I saw. Unfortunately 8 years later I'm sick of Anime and want a more refreshing style, which is harder to achieve than I thought. I always slip back to the semi-realistic cartoon style I'm familiar with. I can draw realistically if I try, usually with reference, if only to see how things look or move properly. I do enjoy Painting with acrylics when I have enough time to get into it, which as of late I don't, I pretty much work full time cooking.

I'm thehonedstiletto but you can call me Still for short. I'm an 18 year old living in Ireland. I have a few scars across my body, mainly from various cuts and scratches from cats and free running accidents. I have brown scruffy hair and my left eye is an azure color while my right is blue. I always wear something around my waist and my watch on my right wrist, oh, and my hat.
I am in my final year of high school(second year of college states equivalent0 and have a big frakking exam at the end of this year. I will be applying to IADT and various other colleges in Ireland for a Visual Communications course(closest thing to a Bachelors in Illustration). I have been practicing more realism as of late so if I draw it's probably gonna be more along the likes of realism. I enjoy painting with acrylics and charcoal, but I adore watercolors most of all.

A lot of people are into free-running lately, aren't they? Even in the Montreal, Canada area where I live I know like 479527543 (read: 2) people who started free running. I used to use watercolour a bit, and I love it, but it's a pain because it takes long and you can't really bring it everywhere. I hardly ever draw at home.

I'm sorry but I won't tell my name, my age or my gender because it's not necessary.
My Internet nickname is Smiling Mask, I use it everywhere I go. Friends call me Sora. I'm Asian
I can only draw anime art = ='' I know my skills are very very limited. Things I can't draw seem to be more than things I can do properly wink Usually I sketch on paper, then scan it and do the rest on the computer.
I'm also interested in Cosplay photographs. I just started practicing photo manipulation.
Nice to meet you all ^^

Ello, Alex here. I'm 13 and am living on the East Coast of the United States. I'm an Asican Mix, Basically says I'm Asian [Filipino] and Mexican, but I also happen to be German.
Basically I can draw anything, but i stay close to anime and my own free art creation called a Voo-Dude. Most of my art is pencil work and only on white paper. Lately I've been writing Poems and starting to use a sewing machine to create a different branch of art [Fashion].
I have an Open mind for almost anything and is fun to talk to. Please no Applause [joking i would love one], But I must escape to my Pencil!

Hello there huns. I am Bianca, 15, from San Jose. Upcoming sophomore. Asian=flip/chinese also spanish. :] I'm mostly philipino. Mix eh? So you say.
Like most of us here. I love art to the fullest, and I am currently trying on realism, and disappearing my cartoon ways. i like vectoring and coloring other's linearts. Also I like painting. Traditionally on canvas of course.
I heart paint markers and water paint color pencils. I do and like many different forms of art. Film, and sowing machines. Strings and the dance floor.
;] Proper grammar is essential to life. Spell out words and no chat words. "Lol's" and "Wtf's" are not in my vocabulary. Trust me. Talk to me in a form of word that does not exist in the real word will not go through my logic. There for shall ask what it means. Word is the creativity of bringing a sentence come to life, and there well be art!
Get at me, I'll talk and I'm normal. And thou shall be friends once thee talks.

I'm not for giving my name sweatdrop But I'm going into soph. year in high school. I live in the East Coast of the U.S.
My style can be referred to as anime meets realistic. I'm quite cheap so I use GIMP and Inkscape (but my friend might get me a Photoshop CS2 for my bday biggrin ) Also, I use water colors. Music inspires me quite a bit. My favorite manga is Pluto, which is an AU of Astro Boy mrgreen But it's intensely deep and the realistic style is amazing.
I have a Deviantart, which I pretty much post anything on blaugh I'm very open-minded. Being so, I appreciate all forms of art.
