first, i feel aweful for spilling my feelings here for you guys to pick up, and never helping you pick up yours (besides 'OMG I'M SOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!111 >>) but, really, you guys are like family to me, and i feel like SUCH hypocrite for saying that, seeing as i havn't been here all summer, only when i needed help or emotional peace D8.

*inhales deep breath*
i am reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyREALLY scared about the start of the new school year (to be more pacific, going out in public period)
i am scared that I will run into people who have made it publicly known that they don't like me and think i'm just another anime obsessed freak (okay,okay, i AM anime obsessed, but i like other things too~!)
i am scared to run into them, because i think they will point and laugh at me, or something idoitic and immature like that. i KNOW they won't do that, because they are so enwarpped in their own lives, they don't give a damn about their surroundings, but i can't help but to cringe and look for a place to hide whenever i hear about or see them. i don't know what the problem is.
and, i can't help but to feel jealous when i see other people (prittier people) laughing and having a good time, when i am just sitting there. and i can't help but feel insecure and inferior when around them. anditsucks.

i REALLY don't want this new year, to be like 7th grade, cause 7th grade sucked ALOT, i was really unhappy with myself and everything else about my life. i don't want to go through those feelings again.
any help?

Aha.
Nothing to be worried about.
This is reality, no one's going to like you.
I'm pretty sure over half my school hates me.
But you know what's going to happen?
You'll get friends.
And you know what'll happen then?
You and your friends will laugh off all the insults, and end up laughing with each other about those jerks.
If you run into some jerk, you'll have someone right next to you, grab you, and hurry on to class.
And while you're sitting there, staring at the pretty people, you'll probably have someone right next to you talk about how the one you're looking at got mononucleosis from the girl right across from him.
I only know this because I kind of know how you feel.
Except it happened to me in 9th grade.
...You're gonna hate 9th, by the way.
But hey, if 8th grade swings by and the exact opposite of what I just said happens, I give you full right to hate me completely.
But I'm sure that won't happen.

lol, but I know your 8th grade year will be better than mine was. stare Not only did I have to travel (it's called that (for some reason) when middle school kids go to high school to take classes), but I also transfered schools, had the worst music teacher, my dog got ran over, and my grandfather died. confused I'm pretty sure none of that will happen to you (except the travelling, I don't know that). Oh yeah, I also got felt up by my sister's friend who was about 17. scream Pissed me off to no end.
And if people start laughing at you because you like anime. Laugh at them for being arrogant and unimaginative about what to laugh at you about. biggrin

I'd say if you want to avoid getting hopelessly picked on, to just keep a low profile for your anime-fandom. I.E; don't go into much detail when people ask you about it.
And making references to manga in discussion with people who know about it makes you feel a little awkward. (It's happened to me.) I pretty much only discuss anime if someone else has somehow brought up the topic or if I'm with a group of people who are fine with whatever tastes I may have.
If you look for the "Gamer" kids at your school, then that might be a good crowd. They tend to be accepted by both Otakus, Goths, And usually "Preppies" or "Popular" kids.
I'm a big anime fan and I get along with pretty much everyone at my school. Even the "Popular" kids! It's not impossible!
