One night, while walking down a road in the middle of the night, after just arriving in the city of Gehenna, Roxanne was attacked by fifteen men, each with their faces painted half white, and half black.

Roxanne swung her axe around, trying to hold the men at bay, and she was failing miserably. Her arms were already beginning to tire, and her body was was numb from battle after having rode all day and most of the night. What was most frightening to her, however, was that the men all held a blazing hate inside of them. They didn't care what happened to anything, as long as she died. She didn't know what was happening, and it was scaring her.

"I could be better." Roxanne said dryly, before whipping her axe into one of the men. Her first kill of the battle. "It's not everyday I walk into a city, and get attacked by fifteen men." She looked past the men to the pile of rags that she had seen, just before the men attacked her. It moved, she blinked, and then redoubled her efforts on the fight.

Victor walked along the street when he suddenly heard a loud noise. He quickly raced around the corner and found a group of strange men attack some people. He quickly rushed in, swinging his sword up over his head and down on one of the men, catching him by surprise.

Pierce watched cooly onward as he watched a group of men try to beat down a women, and still didn't move as he witnessed several people rushing in to go off and help defend the lady. As they left, he continued to watch them as one of them noticed something in a pile of rags. Walking forward, Pierce tugged the cloak around him tighter, hiding his bulky body beneath the ample and flowing cloth. As he neared them, he heard the women speak, and Pierce paused. "There is an inn a little up ahead. They can help patch him up," he said, the mechanical clink in his voice evident in the still night air.

The man in the rags shook his head. "No. Take me to the temple. My brothers will take care of me there." The man coughed. "My name is Alec." He introduced himself, raising slowly to his feet. Roxanne caught him as he struggled, and almost fell. "You need to be patched up as soon as possible." She argued. Alec just shook his head, and started to limp off. "Oh for the love of..." She walked up behind him and pulled his arm around her shoulders.

"Thank you. That would be nice." Roxanne answered quickly. She held Alec up, with a hand on the back oh his tattered shirt while she waited for the man who had offered his horse to bring it around. "My name is Roxanne."

" Victor Bellemont" . Victor says, introducing himself and giving a gentlemanly as he pulled a black stallion out from behind the corner and over to Roxanne and helping her put the man up on it's back. Victor looked at Pierce oddly. " obviously you've never seen a nightmare. My partner here can go anywhere an man" Victor says " or beast, can go". ictor says, starting to sense how "different" pierce was.
