Diablo Swing Orchestra are a 6-person, Swedish(don't be alarmed; the lyrics are generally either in english or latin) avant-garde metal group that formed in 2003.
They are most notable for their style; DSO's primary vocalist may at first seem more suited to opera than metal. Jazz influences, along with a Cellist, trumpets, and occasional violins only accentuate Diablo Swing Orchestra's unique sound.
The current members of DSO are as follows:
Annlouice Loegdlund (Vocals)
Daniel Håkansson (Guitars, Vocals)
Pontus Mantefors (Guitars)
Andy Johansson (Bass)
Johannes Bergion (Cello)
Andreas Halvardsson (Drums)
Diablo Swing Orchestra released the first (and, to date, only) album, The Butcher's Ballroom, in 2006, and subsequently toured, primarily in Europe. Daniel has mentioned DSO embarking upon a full North American tour shortly after the release of their second album.
