So, with all the hubub of The World Ends With You... I thought, hey! Let's get the fans together and start our own game! So anybody up for it? Requirements: -Cell phone that can receive text messages. That's all. Any and all are welcome. And no, while it is reccomended, you do not need to be in a costume. :3 Further info will be posted when I can get together some Reapers and Harriers. Post your interest here! :3 Welcome to GU. You have seven days. Fail, and face Erasure. WELCOME TO SHIBUYALife moves at a frantic page in the metropolis of Shibuya. Ideas, trends, and attitudes cleash every second on its crowded streets, and everyone struggles to carve out their own niche in the chaotic culture.
But some of Shibuya's inhabitants chose not to mix with the multitude. Instead of integrating themselves into Shibuya and being a part of its ebb and flow, the retreat from the word and disconnect themselves from the masses, isolated islands in a surging sea of humanity.
Shibuya is real---one of Tokyo's three major subcenters, along with Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.
From the statue of Hachiko that searves as it's symbol to the tangle of streets and stores that call out to a see of young people, Shibuya pulls together music, recreation, fashion, food, and sports from far and wide---from withing Japan and beyond its borders---and spins the hordes of people and scores of ideas into a chaotic broadcast of culture. If we don't work together, we'll fail the mission! NOISEMetaphorically speaking, the mental clutter and negative emotions Shibuya's inhabitants share are represented by "Noise", a myriad of vicious creatures created by the Reapers. Noise must be fought throughout the journey to not only clear the minds of distracted townspeople but to also facilitate personal growth.THE REAPER'S GAMEA competition that those who have died may take part in. Every potential is approached shortly after their passing and is presented the choice by the Reapers. Every contestant is called a Player and is given a Player Pin as a sign of their entry that lets them read the minds of every person not carrying a Player Pin or O-Pin, called "Scanning." Every Player must give up what they hold dearest to participate. They are also provided with pins that allow them to perform psychs, should they be talented enough to use them. Each Player must forge a pact with another Player to prevent Noise from attacking them and to use their psychs. Every Player pairing must then complete 7 days of missions, with every mission taking 1 day. Players are only able to stay awake for a certain amount of time every day. If a mission is completed by any Player pairing, all Players that survived pass. However, Players can be erased by Noise during missions.
After 7 days of surviving, the remaining Players must defeat the Game Master of the Game, the Reaper supervising the contest.
All of the Game's staff are Reapers. The Game is run by the Composer. The Composer of the Game determines all of its rules, which are what allows the Underground to exist. As such, the Composer controls the entire Underground's existence and composition. The Conductor works underneath the Composer, making sure that the Game runs smoothly within the rules. He is advised and served by the high-ranked Reaper officers. One of the officers is chosen to be the Game Master, whose duty is to both set the missions and ensure that as many Players as possible are erased to filter out the weak. Harriers work under the GM to erase Players by summoning Noise, while Support Reapers set up obstacles and resources for the Game.
The Composer created the Game as a means of entertaining himself. He wanted to create a competition where he could watch Reapers and Players struggle for survival, with the best surviving. To this end, the purpose of the Game is to determine who is worthy enough to be rewarded in the afterlife.
The Game is watched by the Angels of the Higher Plane. The Producer, one of the Angels, is chosen to interact with the Composer so that he can create and give requested items to the Composer. He may interact freely with any participant of the Game, be they Reaper or Player, as long as his role as the Producer is kept secret.
After winning, Players may be presented with multiple options:
1. Weak Players are erased even if they win. 2. If a Player has done or participated in any illegal activies in the Game, they will be erased. 3. Players may become a Reaper. 4. Players may come back to life. This is considered a rarer occurrence in the Game despite it being the goal of many characters. This is considered no loss as the winners are expected to spread their talent and enrich others through their work and art during their new lifespan. 5. The absolute best of the Players are given the honour of ascending into the Higher Plane. You wake up to the sound of thousands of pedestrians walking by you on the street.
Startled, you get up and look around.
You're in Shibuya. Why?
You tap someone on the shoulder, but they don't respond.

----WELCOME TO AUSTIN---- Like Shibuya to Japan, Austin to Texas is the center of it all. Especially on 4th Street. Noise is everywhere, surrounding. People, everywhere, surrounding. Nothing much else to do other than to turn it all off. !!!! Turn it all Off?... HEY! Why doesn't anybody look at me?... Have I gone invisible?... HEY, KID! Wh-WHAT? Yeah, you, Player! Player?Better hurry. Time's a wastin'. Huh? ... OW!
...a count down?
Better move!
What? HEY! .....He left. What's going on?
----The NOISE---- Metaphorically speaking, the mental clutter and negative emotions of the inhabitants share are represented by "Noise", a myriad of vicious creatures created by the Reapers.
Noise must be fought throughout the journey to not only clear the minds of distracted townspeople but to also facilitate personal growth.
----THE REAPER'S GAME---- A competition that those who have died may take part in. Every potential is approached shortly after their passing and is presented the choice by the Reapers.
Every contestant is called a Player and is given a Player Pin as a sign of their entry that lets them read the minds of every person not carrying a Player Pin or O-Pin, called

----The ROLES---- @The Composer: The Composer is in charge of the game. Completely and totally. The only way the position of Composer will change is if someone beats him. Due to the interest of
the mods staying in control of the game, this will probably not happen.
@The Producer: The Producer carries out requests for special items from the Composer. He is also a guardian of the platers and makes sure the Reapers follow the rules.
@The Conductor: The Conductor is a Reaper who’s job is to make sure the game runs according to the Composer’s specifics. This spot is vacant at the moment- a Reaper will
eventually take this place.
@The Game Master: The GM is in charge of one week of the game. They send out the missions and one the seventh day players fight them in order to pass.
@The Reapers: Reapers are the administrators in the game. There are three ranks: Support, Harrier, and Officer. Support is the lowest rank, being the Reapers who guard walls and
gives missions to get past said walls to players. Harrier reapers are mid-ranked. They act mostly independently in order to try and erase players. Officers are the highest
ranking- they are the Game Masters and Conductor.
@The Players: The players are those who are participating in the Reaper’s Game to return to life. All characters MUST start as players. Each player is given a Player Pin,
several attack pins (not all will work for players until they’re really, really lucky), and a cellphone. Cellphones are useful for many things, like checking the pins you have
and receiving missions.
----BEGIN THE END---- You wake up to the sound of thousands of pedestrians walking by you on the street.
Startled, you get up and look around.
You don't recognize your location. Why are you here?
