Branding is something im also interested in, but i want to wait to get one. I also dont know of a place in Georgia that does it x3 I'd also want the electrode branding, it's quicker >_>
Also suspension, not something i want to do, but i've witnessed one. It was...odd. And kind of made my back hurt just watching..
Please share!
* Do you have a brand?
* Have you been suspended?
* If not, are you into it?

Branding and suspension sort of make me squeamish. Not because I don't respect the fact that some people really love it, but because I have a pretty low pain tolerance. sweatdrop
Suspension more so than branding, though. I've seen some branding and scarification that looked gorgeous (including the one you posted). I also like the ideas, ritual and culture behind it. I can't even imagine how painful it must be, though. Suspension, though, I can't even look at pictures of. Something about the way the skin gets stretched as you're lifted by hooks in your skin just creeps me out.

Uh, no! I'm not into either one. Whoa, too much pain! Some of the pieces I've seen of branding or even scarification are very detailed and beautiful, but I still wouldn't want to go through it. I'll stick with tattoos. biggrin

I would never do branding. Even burning myself on the stove hurts too much and too long! It doesn't look very nice either. Scarification and carving look nice though. And as for suspension. I would never do it myself. I would probably pass out. But I think it looks really cool and I don't mind watching it.

I don't think I could ever do suspension. That requires a quiet mind, something I don't have. Branding on the other hand...Well, branding results in scarring, which is something you can go about getting much less painfully via a razor, or an inkless tattoo machine. Which is something I'm very into. I love most of the scarifications I've seen done. (Plus the skull and crossbones on me!)

Suspension looks...too painful. And im afraid my skin may rip, and i'll fall. But branding, i'd like a SMALL star branded on me, perhaps my thigh.

What the ********! That sounds so amazing! I've never heard of either! Is branding like a hot tattoo...almost...A heated stamp??? Sounds painful! What in the world is suspended? It sounds morbidly interesting! Tell me!!

I probably wouldn't try branding. I just think it looks terribly painful. But it does turn out awesome looking. But suspensoin is something I wouldn't mind trying, but I don't know anywhere here that does it.

I really like a lot of the branding work i've seen on other people but unless i do it myself i wont, since it looks different later in life. scarification on the other hand would be awesome and i sort of want a backbone looking scarification.
suspension? im saying maybe to that, since i have been through a lot of physical pain through out my life since i hurt myself a lot, i think i could manage it. I would just like tog gain something from it, like a sort bodily spiritual sense. not just the idea that i overcame came, i do that all the time.

no no no no no... and not because I've a hard time with pain, I live in a constant state of pain and on top of that I have a rather high tolerance for the stuff..
No, my problem is that the methods involved in these practices seem to invite "permanent damage" possibly even infection, though that might have more to do with the youth of the practice.
