Newadi'Woyi was in the air, a state that was often the truth these days. It was simply so beautiful, and she couldn't resist the temptations of the wild, wandering beauty of the sky. That's Doda's blood, alright, she thought, smiling, as she darted among a puffy white cloud. So at morning's first light she had dashed into the free sky, to test herself against whatever winds it might throw at her, looping in and out amongst the birds and clouds that were her silent and beautiful companions. She loved the peace of the sky, for as much as she adored meeting new Soquili, the sky never had something terrible to say about halfbreeds, was always welcoming (save for when there was a storm), and always offered her pleasure. She didn't take a dim outlook on other Soquili in general, but she knew that the world wasn't perfect. The sky is as close as it gets, however, she thought with a grin as she burst through a cloud, dew clinging to her white forelock and beading up on her wingtips.
But she realized, as soon as she took stock of her surroundings, that her earlier assumption was now incorrect. The sky was no longer so perfect, almost as if her thought of storms had brought one in. It was a nasty one, the dark black clouds rolling in quickly, and she could see the wind blowing the trees a little ways ahead of her. She had to land. Now. Flying in a storm was never a good idea, firstly because of how much water weighed down wings, and secondly because of the dangers of the wind ripping up the joints. And this storm looked to have plenty of both.
'Woyi dove for the ground just as the sky opened up on her, what felt like buckets full of water plastering down her mane so she couldn't see and suddenly making her wings ten times too heavy. She was headed for the ground at nearly full speed, and she didn't think opening her wings to slow herself down was the smartest idea at the moment, not with all that water threatening to pull her wing muscles. Fortunately, however, she had manged to position herself right over a very large lake, and a few seconds later she splashed into it close to the shore.
Well now every creature for miles around knows I'm here, she thought with a sigh as she swam back to shore. And my wings will be useless for hours, since they're now completely soaked in every feather. They won't be able to dry even the slightest bit until this rain stops. 'Woyi sighed, for she hated being incapacitated by such a trivial thing as wet feathers. Hopefully I can find some manner of shelter, she thought in annoyance as she finally pulled herself out of the lake and attempted to peer around it through the curtains of rain and her wet forelock. Though the possibilities aren't looking too promising.

Heha walked slowly through the storm feeling his feet getting tired from trudging in the mud so much and his back hurt from the heavy rain pounding on it as he walked out in the open. It had been awhile since he had walked in a heavy storm like this and he missed it. Usually he found cover so that he would tired himself out as he traveled, but this time he had no real cover and didn't have it in him to actually run to look. Shaking his main some more, he looked around and remembered the days he was attacked by creatures in the opens fields when he was a young foal. He always use to divert them in some way, but his toughest challenge was getting away from a Skinwalker that nearly took his life. He didn't know how he did it, but he managed to slip away from that male with no problem.
Sighing some at the memories, he looked around some before putting his head down once again. His eyes feeling a little heavy and his body was ready to give out. It had been awhile since he even rested and this storm wasn't helping anything at all sadly. Sighing once more, he remembered all the interesting memories he had about the open fields. The good and the bad, but mostly the good. It made a smile peek on his muzzle as he walked through the rain blindly at the rate it was falling down. One day I will meet that Skinwalker again and it will be a showdown. I will never forget what he took away that day....Never. He thought to himself and remembered all he suffered afterwards when his friend didn't escape fast enough. He wished he could of did something that day, but all he could do was run and leave that only person he had that day alone to die.
Shaking his mane again, he snorted some and stopped walking. He stomped a hoof in the ground and watched it get a little stuck. "Where am I going to go now?" He asked himself as he looked around some not hearing or seeing much in the storm. It made him a little nervous since anything could come out and attack him at the moment. Picking up his pace this time, he walked faster and towards what appeared to be a lake if his eyes served him right. He could see some red amongst the heavy drops of rain and wondered what creature or being it was. "Hello." he called out cautiously and got ready to bolt away in fear it was a Skinwalker.

'Woyi saw almost no reason to shake herself off, as she would just get wet again in a second, but she rustled her feathers a little, trying at least to get the wings in some semblance of a working order, before folding them back up against her sides. When she was somewhere dry and hopefully a bit warmer she could look at them in further detail and make sure nothing was too bent up by her crash into the water. Her right wing twinged a little when she took a step forward, which meant she had probably strained the muscle connecting wing and shoulder when she crashed into the lake. Not suprising, since I couldn't fold them, she thought as she took a step forward, trying to figure out her surroundings. I'm just lucky I didn't hurt anything worse. A few bent feathers are alright. Having injured wings was not on 'Woyi's agenda at the moment.
It was nearly impossible to hear through the rain, and the rain washed away any smells, but 'Woyi's eyes, if they weren't deceiving her, were fixating on a form of a Soquili coming fairly close to her. This other one seemed to have a very dark coat, which made him difficult to get a fix on through the sheets of water, but his mane and tail seemed to be a bright gold, which allowed the mare to fix on his form. She couldn't see wings or horn or anything...so he was just a regular Grounded! That was excellent! She really hadn't met any like that. So many had strange mixed backgrounds (far wierder than her own) that gave them cool extra features, like Azuell's horns. And it sounded like he had called out a very tentative hello.
"Hello!" 'Woyi called back exuberantly, glad she had found another Soquili to wander with. Being stuck in the pouring rain, totally soaked from falling in the lake, with completely useless wings was only fun if you had someone to talk to. And this wasn't even anyone she knew. The red mare bounded toward the other, stopping a few feet in front of him and dipping her head to him. He was a dark black color, with interesting purple swirs all over his back and neck, and that bright golden mane and tail that she just loved. He was so interestingly colored! But why did he look so afraid? "I'm Newadi'Woyi, but everyone normally calls me 'Woyi, since it's less of a mouthfull. What brings you out on this fine, fine day?"
