How the hell can anyone stand the humidity there?
Aside from that, it's a nice looking place, at least in Jacksonville it is.
I went to a show with my girlfriend and I went with an open mind, since I didn't know any of the bands, and they all sucked.
Except for The Graduate, I liked 'em.
But My American Heart comes in second.
The rest are instant crap.

Those three sucked.
I left when Second Hand Serenade started up.

I love florida. It's better than any other state I've been to except maybe par with washington. (ive been to wisconsin, oklahoma, kansas, florida, colorado, tennessee, nebraska, and missouri) If I had to pick a place to live, it woul be between florida, washington, colorado and california although I've never been there.
I don't mind the humidity and love the absence of high highs and low lows in temperature. I love the music: Against Me!, Gainesville Liberation Orchestra, Ghost Mice, Arm the Poor, Carnivorous Vegans, Safety, and a bunch of others plus a lot of good bands will tour there unlike oklahoma and other such states. You just have to know where to fin the good bands. (The Fest in Gainesville has tons and transitiions art gallery at the skatepark of tampa has good shows fairly often)
I love the place and consider it my home and as good as any state can be. When I graduate and turn 18, I'm moving straight back.
You just gotta find the right shows.

It sucks here so much.
I can't smoke inside any buildings, except for my own home, and have to be twenty feet away from public entrances on top of that.

All of our tax money goes to fixing up Seattle, so unless you live in that area, you'll live in a poor looking city, with nothing to do.

I'm supposed to head out to Sarasota Fl, in April because my cousin is getting married and I wanted pretty much any excuse to get out of here, so I'm going. I've heard Sarasota is not so awesome. Anyone know of any thing remotely fun in the area for a nerdy vegan?
Otherwise, I'll probably be drunk on the beach the entire time...
