Chaos was walking down the street with his sword tied tightly to his hip. The villagers said that it was laying next to his body when they found him, and he seemed drawn to it, so much so that he never parted with it. He took up a few jobs to help the people of the town to repay them for their kindness. He never asked for money in return for his work, but they seemed happy enough to give him food or something he could use to barter with as payment for a job well done.

He stopped for a bit as he looked up to the cloudy sky. He was happy. You would think that some one who had amnesia would be racking his brain to remember his past, but Chaos didn't want to know. He had so many nightmares that could be related to his past that he never wished to remember anything. Besides, he had so many friends right now that the past didn't matter.

"Hey Chaos, are you done feeding Mr. Kalik's cown yet?" A soft, kind voice that was obviously female came from behind him.

"Hm? Oh, yea. I just finished about two minutes ago. Is there anything I can do for you?" He asked in a withdrawn tone of voice. "Is there something wrong Sarah? Your face is red."

"Oh no, nothing wrong! Nothing at all! I just wanted to know if you would like to have dinner with my family tonight." She turned away to hide her blush. "I mean, you do live alone in that run down shack and all."

"I wouldn't want to impose." Chaos said hesitantly.

"Oh you wouldn't be imposing at all!" She said as she turned to Chaos once again. "My parents and little brother adore you!"

"Well if I'm not imposing..."

"Tonight at eight! Be there!" She yelled as she ran away with a wave. She was blushing the whole way home. Chaos was the guy that every girl in the village had their eye on, unfortunately he had no clue.

"..."

Dinner was uneventful. Chaos was the center of attention, Sarah's brother kept going on about how cool Chaos was, and Sarah's parents kept thanking him for all his hard work around their home. Sarah was mostly silent. She'd make a few comments here and there, but she was far too shy to start a full conversation. Chaos liked Sarah, he liked Sarah a lot. She was the only girl in the village that hadn't tried seducing him yet, and in turn he had a crush on her. Chaos smiled at he picked at his food, unaware of the threat outside town.

"Hey, Ya know Chaos. That's a cool sword ya got there. I still want to know how ya got it!"

"Sorry, I'm not sure my self." Chaos grinned. "Remember?"

"But it is so cool! It's sharp too. I remember when you were washing it off in the river. Leaves were drawn to the thing and they were cut clean in half!"

"Yeah, but don't all swords do that?"

"I remember that." Sarah's father said. "It was strange though. Every leaf that came by was cut. As if they were drawn to the darn thing. I'm glad you keep it in its sheath."

"Yeah, I'm not one for violence."

"But you're so strong." Sarah said with a blush. "And when that foreigner, um, attacked me, you were a really good fighter. That's how we first met."

"I remember. I was surprised my self. I was doing almost every thing by reflex, as if it was programmed into me or something."

"Maybe you were a warrior before you came to our village." Sarah's mother said.

"I doubt it. I hate fighting."

Chaos left Sarah's house after dinner with a full stomach. He was surprised when a man rushed right past him, bumped into his shoulder, and kept going.

"Run! Demons!" He heard from the distance. Sarah and her family came out of their house to see what was going on.

"Wh-what's happening!" Sarah asked in fear.

"I don't know, but you should get to safety." Chaos replied.

"What about you?"

"I'll be right behind you."

Chaos runs and grabs the girl in mid run. He threw her to a nearby villager and faced the demons that that were wrecking his village.

"Chaos!" Sarah cried as she ran towards him, "I can't find my brother!"

"What? Wasn't he with you?"

"We got seperated. You have to help us find him!"

"Right." He said as he raced deeper into the village, trying to avoid as many demons as he could, Sarah's hand in his own.

Chaos saw the demons out of the corner of his eye. There wasn't much he could do. He let go of Sarah's hand and drew his sword from his sheath.

"Get out of the village Sarah, the other evacuees can help you. Your brother is probably already with them, so don't worry."

"But Chaos..."

"GO!" He yelled as he slashed at the first demon that came his way.

"I don't know about hero, but I will NOT let you touch these people!" Chaos yelled, slashing at one of the demons before him. His eyes widened after he completed his first strike. There, behind the circle of demons, was Sarah's younger brother, frozen with fear.

*a fist of fire grabs the demon that raised the blade to the boy and crushes him in a blaze of fire and smoke. largo appears out of the fire and smoke, in his dark fire form with a dark grendade in his hand.*
"kid i don't know who you are but its a good idea to get out of here. NOW!"
*largo turns to the man fighting the demons.*
"looks like you need a little back-up eh."
