I play melee characters a lot, so I'm a bit biased on my experiences... haha
I play mostly scrappers, sometimes one of my brutes. I always have at least one moment on the way to 20 (and a lot more after) where I go into something ready to die but don't. For instance, on my Broadsword/Dark Armor scrapper (He was level 16 at the time) I waded in a mess of Vazhilok when the team's tank wouldn't budge. I not only lived, but I massacred the lot of them, which surprised me. Parry and Dark Regeneration rule ^^ The group and the tank proceeded to let me charge into any groups after that one, hehe.
Another instance was on one of my top-end scrappers. My Spines/Super Reflexes scrapper to be exact. I play him like a maniac, rushing ahead of everyone else, jumping the Archvillain when the group isn't ready, stuff like that. Only this time I had rushed up to Malaise, who cuts through my defenses like butter normally. He somehow missed me about 6 times in a row with his attacks, giving enough time for the rest of the group to get there and debuff him so I'd have a shot XD The team's tank was demoted to 'beta striker' and wasn't allowed to charge into groups after what I pulled. He wasn't a happy camper with me, lol.
Yet another was on one of my lower level characters, a Firey Melee/Super Reflexes scrapper. Ran a respec trial with a bunch of level 28s; I was level 24 at the time. I expected to die left and right but I only died three times in there, and got a nice hunk of experience from the whole ordeal. It was really fun, since we only had a willpower tank and frankly he couldn't keep standing up to the Sky Raiders for anything. So I had incoming aggro a lot, but managed to keep alive somehow and torch them (no pun intended)
Anyone else have stories to share? Moments you thought you'd keel over any second but you somehow made it?
