This is something a friend and I feel different about, i HATED the shading. That make me jump too many times to count, which is not good.
The lady actually went out of the line, so she had to go back and make the lines thicker. It doesn't look bad, but i know its like that because i kept squirming n.n
I'm unsure whats different though, like they use different utensils correct? I'm not educated about all the mechanics of a tattoo gun x3
* Which is worse?
* Are you a squirmer?
* Have they ever had to fix a tat because you moved?

* Which is worse? For me, the outline is muuuuch worse. The shading has always been the easier part. They use less needles in the gun for the outline, meaning the needles are all closer together, so the pain is more pinpointed... The shading takes many more needles, so the pain is spread out.
* Are you a squirmer? My first tattoo has a bunch of mistakes, because I was twitching. It's on my ribs/side, so I'm not sure if that's an excuse or not, but I'm using it as one. It was my first tattoo, it's big, and it's on my ribs/side. Also, the only time I twitched, was during the outline. When she finally finished that and started the shading, I was done squirming.
* Have they ever had to fix a tat because you moved? I've yet to fix any of my tattoos. I'll probably be scheduling an appointment here soon to get them all touched up, because the shop I got them at does free touch ups if you got the tattoo there. biggrin Which is awesome, because I got all my tattoos there.

I think the shading is the worst! My artist, has a heavy hand and he colors like a 5 year old with a jumbo crayon. They always turn out great and the color is beautiful, but the pain, ooohhh, ouch! gonk As far as squirming, I only did for the top of my foot, but that was nerves being hit, my artist sad that was natural and I couldn't control it if I wanted too. Then the insides of both my wrists. I squirmed in my seat then. Nothing has ever gotten messed up because of my squirming though, my artist is good! biggrin

Oh for me the outlining is the worst part, compared to that getting the colour done is relaxing! Unfortunately most of my tattoos are black and white... so mainly outlining... Man I must be insane!

Which hurts worse? I dunno... when I had mine done... he filled in and used the stencil as the outline to save me a little pain... since it was a tribal it didnt really matter... I'm sure my pin-up will be a much more different experience.
Am I a squirmer? Meh... I dont really squirm, but occassionally he hit a soft spot and I would shoot up and he laughed... saying "OOOOH THATS THE SPOT! Got the hair whippin back and everything, nice arch in the back too XD"
hes a great guy, really funny
Have I had to have one fixed because of squirming? nope... thankfully... thatd be really embarrassing to me... but thats because my at the time friend would have NEVER let me live it down... but we arent talking now so it doesnt matter

Even in your most casual moments...
* Which is worse? Outlining, hands down!
* Are you a squirmer? Ahaha, no, but I've been told my skin crawls terribly when I'm being tattooed.
* Have they ever had to fix a tat because you moved? Nahh, I sit really really still. I DO moan when tattooed though; it DOES feel better than sex. :p
...You pulse in synchrony.

I have over 20 tattoos on all different parts of my body. There really doesnt give a worst because on some parts you feel the shading and on others not. For me the worst is when it goes over bones. Ive had now 3 coverups and 1 that was fixed because i moved and i think that when they are covered it hurts worse because it goes over scar tissue.
What was the most painful spot on your body where you got a tattoo?

 The worst part is the outline, for sure. I'm getting my tattoo on my hip touched up next Friday for free at the place I got it done at. I did squirm a tiny bit, but it was my arms, hands, and toes.

I thought the shading was the worse because he pressed so hard and squished my arm.

I would have to say the shading near the bottom of my tattoo was the worst. My mom says it might be because it was over a tendon... Whatever it was, I was sure regretting getting my tattoo right there.
I'm super proud of myself! I only squirmed once. He gave me such a dirty look when I did. If he had to fix it,he didn't tell me. My leg did spasm a lot though, if that counts as squirming...
