So this year was my first year of photography. We learned how to develop film (which I hate doing and I ruined half of my film) and print in the darkroom (which I love. There's nothing like the smell of chemicals in the morning!). So here are some pieces!
Please, critique on anything from composition to dark room technique.
Oh, and also some of these pics are faded to one side. I don't know how that happened. I'm not sure if light leaked in or I didn't pour enough chemicals into the film tank or what.

I actually like the scratches and dust on this pic which were mistakes.

In the back of this truck (it's stuck in snow) is where I found the gears.

This is a bucket of old and broken fencing blades with a squished mask.

Psssst, you're only supposed to post a max of four photos at a time. >>

Anyway, The first one made me a bit confused. At first glance it looks like an exploding puzzle, which is always fun, but the more you look at it there's more. Though I have no idea what the object is.

I like the second on of the machinery you posted. It feels like it's old from some old old old factory. I think the fading effect looks great.

It's a great style. I especially like the ones with the gear.

If you want a tip which is what i think will help your photos...

Read for the shadows and bracket your shots from that reading. That way you can get more information on the negative. Your whites will also have more information on them if you read for the darkest spot in your shot. You can get a better contrasty image this way.

Good luck, and great shots again.

I like the scratches and dust too :]
