Thought I'd share what I've been working on and post some pics.
First a couple pics of my armies main unit type, Dwarf Warriors.

They are painted using my main color scheme, red and gold.
I went over the gold with a orange-ish brown wash to make it looks a little worn and I feel it makes it pop. I also went over the chain mail armor with a black wash to make the details and links stand out.

Next is a few examples of other unit types painted in the same scheme.

From right to left are two Dwarf Miners and two Thunderers(handgunners)
The miners armor was painted differently from the others by dry brushing a darker metal color over black, to make it look more worn and used.

Next up are two examples of Dwarf Longbeards.
User Image
They were painted in a similar method as the warriors with the exception of using a dark green instead of red. I opted for the color change on the idea that Longbeards are older and more experianced than regular units.

Another Longbeard with some conversion work done to the model.

I did some hand swapping to give him a mug of meed and changed the pose of his great weapon.

Next is my Dwarf Lord painted in the red and gold scheme.

Lastly a picture of my cannons and bolt thrower.

That's it for now, let me know what you think.

Looking good so far! It's amazing to have another Games Workshop enthusiast around wink

Your stuff looks pretty damn good. It's a little hard to tell from your pics, but some of the beards are looking just a little flat. I might suggest mixing in some different hair colors, as well; that would add a bit more individuality to the models whilst still maintaining a coherent scheme.

Good work! Keep 'em coming!

thats the pictures fault, the beards have a base color; a darker wash; and a highlight.

I didn't have the best lighting for taking the pictures.

Nice work! Your so lucky to get to play Warhammer. I bought some Chaos legion (Hordes) and decide to play, and well, my dad put a stop to it because their were guys there and he didnt want me to be alone.. So when year later came and he was going to let me, the comic book store did away with all the Warhammer stuff. Oh well.. Anyways, You did a outstanding job painting them..^.^

I'm hoping to start out with a set of circle of orboros, myself, but for the moment, I'm content being the scene builder for my friends who play warhammer/hordes.

*smiles* I have the Dwarf Lord around here somewhere. I've been thinking of starting up a Sisters Of Battle army for a while.
I have Tomb Kings for Fantasy around here somewhere, too.

Yours are looking pretty good, by the way.
