the bottom line:
ever since i was able to talk with my spirit the first time, it's been getting more difficult every time i try to connect. i don't know whether it's poor concentration or an outside spell.
my question - is there anyone that can help me here, like a shaman or a channeler that can talk to torric for me? normally i'd do it myself, but..you know.

Which spirit? There is the shadow and the higher....er...that's what I've come to believe.
Unfortanantly, I am unable to help you for I cannot even talk to my own. I'm sure that there are some here that can help you....if they show themselves.

See, there are two halves to the spirit. The Shadow self is well...really hard to describe, for each shadow is different. There's a really good topic about it in the library. It's stickified. Then there is the Higher, which is what we all strive to become. They are our enlightened selves, in a sense. You could also call them our god-form, although I dunno how accurate that would be...it's just another way to look at it I suppose.

The concept of the shadow-self is not something that can be defeated. Should you attempt to do so, you would leave yourself as half a person: incomplete, shallow, empty. So I assume you are referring to something else entirely.
Now me, I don't ascribe to setting parts of the self apart as separate thingies. Everything is still you. Calling it different things is a way of distancing yourself from different things. Waste of time, imo.
So I still have no idea what you are referring to as a "spirit". Do you mean a guide?

Do you mean a guide? my fault. when i say spirit, i'm talking about the otherkin (i only have one). now, i did see a shadow. but whether or not it was actually torric's-i don't know. all i know is that it was coming after me, and i had to take care of it. question-if the shadow had been defeated, is there a way to bring it back? come to think of it, i couldn't have defeated it. torric is very powerful. someone like me wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of surviving. could the shadow have gone easy on me and "let me" defeat it? sorry for all this rambling...

It depends, is it an otherkin?
If so, do you know what type of otherkin it is? I may be able to help you, but it depends on the otherkin.
Shadows.... you kinda have ot deal with yourself, but if they are out alone, I can contact them only if they come to me, they only really want to be healed..... I belive, I'm not sure..
