I first started paying attention to him when I saw that serrated smile in Sleepy Hollow. Seen him in Wayne's World 2 before that but he didn't really stand out in my mind. I choose to ignore roles in FatBoy Slim music videos and Hairspray ugh bals of Fury WTF and focus on things like The Prophecy, King of New York, Suicide Kings and Batman Returns.
Not that all his lighthearted stuff bugs me, Blast from the Past is an uber cheesy movie but something about it is like comfort food. Clem from Joe Dirt shows shades of his better roles as it alludes to a mobster life in NYC before witness protection moves him to Louisiana or wherever the hell. And the 1st time I saw the FatBoy Slim vid I was amused. He is an accomplished tap dancer and it's nice to see him play up to that he has hosted SNL many MANY times and in one of those opening monologues he displays this talent.
Looking over his filmography he is incredibly varied. It's almost disturbing. I really didn't need to know he was on The Guiding Light. eek
